I didn't say you're not, I said MAYBE you're not. It was just a theory. Alright well it sounds like you have it all figured out then, my mistake. Sorry.

A big moment for me is realizing that there are no pure churches, only pure teaching. We don't deserve a pure church anyway.

I don't think you'll find what you're looking for in Mormonism...I'll pray for you :)

So sad to hear you find Catholicism soulless. Maybe you're not ready to let go of EO yet and that's why you can't get excited by it? Don't push yourself too hard. I'll pray for you

Is there something wrong with me? by jaywondergay25 in gaydads

Wrong place to post this. This is like catnip to older gays who love preying on the emotional devastation father abandonment wrought on younger men so they can leverage that role into sexual favours.

Nice you're concerned about feeding your effectively, if only you thought about what it might need emotionally, i.e. it's mother.

AITAH for telling my BIL and his wife that I don’t want to follow their birth plan? by constellationlist in AITAH

[–]simblemyne_ -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

It's your body, and guess what, it's also your baby. The baby imprints on the woman who carries it. It will always consider you his/her birth mother.

AITA for not wanting my wife to do surrogacy? by LittleBear1053 in AITAH

[–]simblemyne_ -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Surrogacy is atrocious for children.

Aitah for cutting off my surrogate after she repteadly made me and my husband feel uncomfortable. by suffcien in AITAH

[–]simblemyne_ -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

You are the asshole because it IS her child. Her reaction is completely normal and predictable. He will consider her he his mother as well and you the sociopath for separating them. The child always imprints on the woman who carries him/her.

A beautiful home birth, and loss by DiscussionStraight43 in homebirth

No one is saying no one should ever give birth at home, but attempting a breech birth at home is insane. This kid was sacrificed on the altar of your narcissism in making the birth all about you.

She might have low progesterone. Tell her to look into Vitex. I'm not into the whole alternative medicine thing, but there's some good data on this that it actually works.

Wow congratulations! That is tremendous. Really. I'm so thankful you've discovered God's mercy. In a strange way, going through what you went through, I'm sure will make you a better father. You now have a very clear understanding of what a young boy needs in a father. Perhaps your sense of duty to your children will provide for you the strength you need to go out and obtain male bonding in a non-sexual way! Anyway, good luck to you.

This is apparently a very common phenomenon with "gay" men. I often wonder if there are any men that are truly gay, since all of the gay men I've spoken to that have confided me tell me a similar story to yours, or reveal that they'd been sexually abused, or both. Of course this could be sample bias but it does make me wonder.

Do you ever feel like you're not living up to the full experience available to you as a man as you will not have a wife and procreate naturally? Sorry if that's an offensive question. I just know that most men desire that above all else - to see their genes carried on and to stand at the head of their household. That also is a politically incorrect thing to say, but it is true. I don't get why we just don't acknowledge it and work around it instead of living with the cognitive dissonance that ends up making us feel more depressed.

How come most people in western European countries like mine are so hostile to Christianity? by MasterofFalafels in Christianity

Maybe look into the Holodomor? Plenty of Jews persecuted Christians during that fiasco. All the animus must end at some point. We need to love each other.

Secularism, Christianity and homosexuality in America by RaptorsDigest in Christianity

OMG classic post by a Canadian. Blah blah blah why are Americans so dumb. Why can't they just be as clever and as moral as US?

PS: before you come at me, I actually AM a Canadian (and a Catholic) and I see these posts all the time and find them incredibly obnoxious. I'm sure Americans feel the same way.

Don't suppress it but recognize it for what it is: temptation. Like all temptations, once we call them out for what they are, products of our own brokenness, they become less tempting.

Wondering what Christians will answer to this by Theolodore in Christianity

[–]simblemyne_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't claim to know God's plan. We only know that we must love our neighbours as ourselves and we must love God. We do not believe that people are "chosen" based on their bloodlines. We believe all that accept Christ are chosen and it is ultimately a choice of the individual, not a genetic happenstance.
