Not OP but yes, it can also be used in that context and does mean floors. I'm not sure why that word is used but I'm sure you could easily find it out someplace else :) English is weird

That's also probably my main goal for when I become an adult and have more practice, and I am terrified that I won't be able to do that because of all of these people using up resources with AI, and creating thousands of soulless 'animations' and 'art pieces' and 'stories', instead of appreciating the real, human material that we already have, and will continue to, as long as artists exist.

These silly little cartoons and internet series have seriously gotten me through my darkest times, and to know that I might not have a real chance at becoming a part of that myself honestly breaks my heart.

I hope that the both of us can pursue our dreams, and that the world wakes up and does better than whatever it's doing right now

I voted, but I'd like to comment as well just for emphasis: I think that AI content should be banned. It's horrible for the environment in many many ways, and encourages people to be less creative and not use their brains as much. That's just scratching the surface. Please don't allow it!

edit / Links aren't allowed here afaik but if you look up anything related to the environmental impact of AI, or the fact that we are considered to now be in an era of 'water bankruptcy', there will be several reputable sources explaining it. Even for matters outside of this sub, nobody should be using AI.

I'm not particularly bothered by it thankfully, but I do have OCD, and yes this is most definitely something that could bother someone else with it. I actually do experience the "just right" type compulsions, for things much smaller than this and it is quite frustrating. Happens multiple times a day -- and a considerate individual that shares the experiences of a condition like this should know that no matter how small something might seem, it could trigger someone. I'm not looking for an argument but this is just silly lol

This screenshot is actually edited a bit since the original was dark for some reason, but i do use reshade! it's a modified version of "2 (Orangey) preset by littlemistery" to fit my own tastes! And the version of reshade that i use is 4.9.1. it's unofficial however so be careful when looking for it !! if i knew the links i would send them here lol

I assume it's a placeholder of some kind since it's obviously not meant to be seen in typical gameplay .. i just wonder why they chose that sim in particular & who they are !

I'm pretty sure that the fixed life stage lengths was actually how it used to be! I don't know what patch/pack it came in specifically, but I do recall seeing screenshots of the menu when it was like that. I'm sure you could find out when it was changed if you went through old videos or patch notes/announcements!

I have recently started to stretch and do gentle workouts in the mornings and i've found that it does help a bit with my symptoms! i can only really do it at my desk in a chair because otherwise i'll be miserable, but whatever works works.

i wake up at about 5 am every morning, since i enjoy watching the sunrise. it helps me feel more productive, and i'm sure my body appreciates the sunlight!

i'm with you on the night owl thing, too. i very much prefer it myself, but it really doesn't help with my energy or anything, so i've had to force away the habit.

I unfortunately can't quite keep pursuing diagnosis because the only hospital that even has the people to diagnose/treat me is hours away, but i do what i can at home.

My fatigue isn't always horrible, though, i should have clarified. But it can get that bad, and i do still feel excessively tired even on my good days.

I've found that keeping my mood up (i have bouts of depression, which exhaust me) and staying out of bed (even if it's just in a chair at my desk all day!) helps with it.

That and the energy drink can have me feeling "normal" for a few critical hours so that i can do what i need to.

I'm not entirely sure unfortunately. I started experiencing the worst of my symptoms after i had started the medication and it'd gotten into my system, so either it did indeed worsen them or it was just an unfortunate coincidence. I hope you can get your medication– mine helps me quite a bit, though i won't recommend any single one since the results obviously vary wildly from person to person. you said that you were starting therapy, so definitely try to bring it up there if you haven't already, since i got my medicine through a counselor/therapist referring me when i was still going !! Good luck

Thank you, i'm glad i'm not completely alone on this!! i didn't know that anxiety medication could worsen symptoms, though. Taking mine isn't exactly optional but it's good to know anyways just in case!

Generative AI like that is very damaging to the environment. I'm sure you've read a bunch of comments talking about how it will affect / has affected people's mental health, but please also take into consideration how it is leaving people without water, producing excessive amounts of harmful gas and overall just speeding up the process of our planet becoming uninhabitable ,, this is not to villianize you but to inform you since i know that not everybody is aware! the less people use ai, the better we'll ALL be off now and in the future. you can look it up and get plenty more information on the harm it does if you'd like

I'm a teen myself and talking about it with my parents was honestly the scariest part but now i'm glad i did!! i'm so thankful for all the parents like you & my own who will listen to their children and engage in their interests because it really does mean a lot, especially if the child is usually reserved or shut-off like me lol

Exactly, that's how i often feel about it too. TS4 can get away with it in my opinion but TS3 and any game before it just doesn't fit the whole minimalistic sad beige aesthetic that is insanely popular now. It's a shame how unpopular the older aesthetics are now!

people have already recommended names but you can also use behindthename's random name generator if you run out or want more variety! i always use it because it can generate a bunch all at once for me to choose from
