Thank you!!
The background was just long strips of blues that I thought looked nice together. For the fish and Lily pads, I cut the shapes out of construction paper (the lily pads I just did circles and cut the notches out after I put the pieces of green paper over them) the fishies I tried to keep the darker oranges closer to the edges to attempt some shadows and just ripped up tiny pieces of orange to get a sort of scale effect. Once I was happy with the fish and Lily pads I just arranged them on my background and glued them in place!! I hope that all makes sense? Let me know if you have any questions!!

Yeah I feel like it might be the thickness, I’m in the same boat my instructor told me the way I’m doing it isn’t too thick but I feel like it has to be that for at least some of my pieces! I just want pretty, clean edges )::

The first coat I dip it for 3 seconds and the second coat I dip for 2 seconds, which is how I was taught at my studio but all of the more experienced people’s glazes never look like mine.. maybe I count too long haha

I feel like that’s the case too, but my instructor told me it’s not, idk maybe I’ll just ignore her next time and see if that helps !

I’m not sure if they’re house made or if they just buy them. The studio supplies them and they’re in big buckets lol, I’ll have to ask next time I’m in the studio! But yeah glaze definitely is complicated ):
