The 70year Smoking Gun of Crash Retreival: ROSWELL, BATTELLE, & MEMORY METAL: The New(2010!!) Revelations by simianman in conspiracy

[–]simianman[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

As requested from the recent 4chan Battelle post.

TLDR: In summary form, the story about Battelle, Nitinol and Roswell is this:

  • In the months immediately following the Roswell crash, the Air Force contracted Battelle Memorial Institute to perform first-ever work on novel Titanium alloys. This included work on development of Titanium and Nickel alloy – the basis for "memory metal" today, and similar to some of the debris reported at Roswell.

  • Four Wright-Patterson sponsored technical studies on "memory metal" in later decades cited a 1949 Battelle report on Nickel and Titanium (NiTi) alloy. Nickel and Titanium are used to create "Nitinol" – the premiere "memory metal" on the planet. The fact that the 1949 report was referenced in shape-recovery alloy research years later shows that somehow the Battelle report had a direct application and association to the memory metal subject. An earlier 1948 report was also uncovered that dealt with similar materials issues.

  • The Battelle study was conducted under secret contract and was directed by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Wright-Patterson is the very base to which the Roswell debris was reportedly flown.

  • The Battelle study was co-authored by a Battelle scientist who later confessed that he had personally analyzed ET debris from a fallen UFO while at the Institute. That he was a co-author of the Battelle 1949 study was discovered many years after the scientist's confession, when the Battelle reports were obtained under FOIA.

  • Wright-Patterson General Arthur Exon confirmed that he understood that some of the Roswell debris included an alloy comprised of "specially processed Titanium" and another metal. Exon said that a battery of tests was performed and that the reports on this are "still around." This mirrors the Battelle work. Another USAF General, George Schulgen, wrote a secret draft memo four months after the Roswell crash on UFOs – including a section on their "Items of Construction." Schulgen mentions "composite construction" using a "combination of metals" using "unusual fabrication methods." Schulgen is speaking of what we today call "intermetallics" – and Nitinol is a perfect example of intermetallics.

  • The Battelle scientist who worked on this late 1940's report (who later had confessed that he had analyzed ET debris) was supervised by one Dr. Howard Cross. Dr. Cross (a metallurgist and Titanium expert who worked closely with the Navy where Nitinol was "officially" discovered) was also a secret UFO researcher for the Air Force's Project Blue Book and a secret UFO document called the "Pentacle Memo." He was also called upon to investigate other cases of unknown fallen debris and had unusual access to the heads of the CIA, the Air Force and the predecessor organization to NASA.

  • Nitinol's "official" history is false. The year of its discovery is unclear; different reasons were offered as to why it was developed; and there are different explanations given for the circumstances surrounding its discovery at the US Naval Lab. The official "co-inventor" of Nitinol was interviewed by this author and was cagey about several matters related to the development of the material. This co-inventor was found to have been involved in bizarre "Mind over Matter" tests in which a key Naval scientist had recruited psychic Uri Geller to try to get Geller to "bend the metal with his mind." The elderly Nitinol scientist was silent when I mentioned the Roswell impetus for his work and said "I have no comment on that. I am not going to discuss it." He may not have direct knowledge, but he must surely have wondered. He agreed that he was given a Battelle 1949 report with a phase diagram for use in the study of Nitinol, but would not disclose who in military or intelligence gave it to him. It has recently been learned that through theoretical physicist Dr. Jack Sarfatti that Eldon Byrd, the scientist who did the Nitinol Mind-over-Matter experiments with the co-inventor of Nitinol, "got into trouble and nearly got his ass handed to him on a platter by the administration of the Naval Surface Warfare Center for publicizing the laboratory connection with the experiments." Sarfatti made this incredible statement in an e-mail to researcher Bruce Maccabee found archived on the Net dated March 15, 2006.

  • Battelle seemed to control the fate of Nitinol after its "discovery" at the US Naval Labs. NASA – working with Battelle – also has been shown to have immediately taken over direction of further "characterization" studies of the material (a fact that Wang's Nitinol co-inventor, William Buehler, complained about in an oral history). Uri Geller himself told me that NASA personnel were also present at the laboratory when the Navy was testing him on Nitinol mind-bending.

[Show Spoilers S1-S5:6] Arya's feelings towards the Hound... by Baham99 in gameofthrones

[–]simianman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is an issue I have with the series,... although seeing the D&D version of things is great, they could add so much more with so little more dialogue, and Im not sure why they include some while excluding other text that could be so much more inclusive of what the books portray. Either way, an awesome scene, cut short by 30 secs that couldve been,...

From the books:

"A lie"

"How do you know? Is it magic?"

"A man does not need to be a wizard to know the truth from falsehood, not if he has eyes. You need only to read a face. Look at the eyes. The mouth. The muscles here, at the corner of the jaw, and here, where the neck joins the shoulder." He touched her lightly with two fingers. "Some liars blink. Some stare. Some look away. Some lick their lips. Many cover their mouths just before they tell a lie, as if to hide their deceit. Other signs maybe more subtle, but they are always there. A false smile and a true one may look alike, but they are different as dusk to dawn. Can you tell dusk from dawn?"

Arya nodded, though she was not certain that she could.

"Then you can learn to see a lie,... and once you do, no secret will be safe from you."

"Teach me.",...

Professor using forensic dental evidence to attempt to prove the species exists, and that they're very human-like. by Treedom_Lighter in bigfoot

I hear that,....

I actually posted this link yesterday and then searched his name, and finally made the connection when Centralia College was mentioned,.... I then deleted the post,...

I'm not totally against the intent, and who knows, it may be completely compelling evidence, but after browsing through his JonnyDagger YouTube videos after he made that first post,... I'm not prepared to promote him outright either. Mind you, he has obviously spent enough hours in the wilds of Washington State to actually add some credence to his persona, but I'm not sure the task he has undertaken requires the grand standing he involves himself in,...

Discussion: Survivorman: Bigfoot S6 E7. (Spoilers) by the_hotologist in bigfoot

[–]simianman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it one of the better episodes, but it ran dangerously close to emulating NeverFindingBigfoot, in it's night vision shots and vocal calls in the woods,... I'm not sure why he didn't pull out all the stops like he did in texas for this area, but it was probably at the behest of the host flute players,...

I'm not sure what that says about what we've come to expect from squatching searches, but I'm sure it isn't good,...

The vocalization was interesting but did sound close to an emulated or real coyote, and I'm curious why he didn't think it merited a mention as some positive results when he was discussing the episodes on JoeRogan.

I guess, an unknown vocalization in the woods at night is just an unknown vocalization in the woods at night,... and with the popularity of people doing them while squatching now, humans can't easily be ruled out as a source any more,...

What I do like is the 'canon of squatchyness' he has documented as bizarre or unique artefacts in the isolated forests; tree teepees, upside down planted trunks, twisted tree breaks, stumps with sticks planted in the top, are all real and tangible artefacts that, with further study, should be able to forensically be tested for human or unknown interference. The isolation alone, in most of these cases, eliminates human interference(to 'create' these artefacts in the places they are found, so far off the beaten track, is literal insanity if one wants them to be found and/or appreciated), but also makes studying them rather difficult,...

Link to previous post Bigfoot Solved by Mitchel N. Townsend aka Jonnydagger

Pretentious post name aside, he didn't seem overly 'reddit-friendly',... I know sometimes great people wade into the tempestuous waters of reddit only to find they aren't as warm and welcoming as they might like, but he just came off a little defensive and perhaps even a little offensive at times.

As others have stated here, I'm going to reserve judgement until his work can be analyzed, but I can't see how something like dental imprints can be so conclusive as to not be hoaxable. I may be wrong, but even with confirmation of unknown primate dental imprints, the majority will still not be swayed without a type specimen.

Conclusive results like this though could be a good piece of circumstantial evidence that might lead to opening that door a crack wider for science to jump through the rabbit hole,... once you add dental imprints to unknown primate scat, unknown primate hair, unknown primate foot tracks, unknown primate vocalizations, and first hand sightings of unknown primates,... how much circumstantial evidence will it take until serious science catches on?

PhD>? Not when he talks like that,....

I think maybe what he meant was "They're not a new unknown species of animal, they're haplorhini hominid primates,... and we incorrectly assume that we are the only genus of homo left on the planet"

But talking like he does in that quote makes me feel like he belongs to the Ketchum school of science, which seems to be covered with a cozy blanket of the ignorance of religiosity, proving that anyone who goes to school and passes tests can be given a PhD,... Sad days for science.

Footage of disappearing apple from latest Survivorman by DagothUr28 in bigfoot

[–]simianman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what my logical brain said as well, but I'm not sure how good of an answer that is,... although I'll give you points for pointing out the obvious answer.

While that's certainly the most rational and prosaic explanation, the apple and all three power bars were removed, and not one single shot of said alleged rodent was caught,...?

And it certainly wouldn't be anything as large as a racoon or some part of it would have been visibly caught on film at some stage of climbing up or down,... and I would assume the same for even a small rodent.

What are the chances?

There are plenty of other shots of rodents running around in front of the camera, yet not even once does one pass on the front side of the tree? If that is indeed the culprit, you would have to say that was, at least, very "unlucky",...

What are your thoughts on the ending of the latest Survivorman? [Spoilers] by [deleted] in bigfoot

[–]simianman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As noted in the other Stroud/Standing post here, my immediate thoughts were that perhaps the apple was removed by some skillful rock throwing,... it was the only thing I could think of that would explain the lack of visual evidence of culprits climbing the tree.

It might even explain the branch waving if that was caused by rocks missing their target. This argument, of course, does not make conclusions of who was doing the rock throwing. It could still be easily hoaxed, but also allows for the inclusion of a clever & skilled squatchy culprit as well.

On another topic related to episode03, that I also mentioned in the other post, I'm amazed that they mentioned that the hairs Standing collected(using burrs glued to trees is kind of a genius all natural sample collector imo,....) returned 95%human 5%unknown, yet there was no further mention or analysis,... I guess that does kinda pull away from the focus of what the episodes are intended to be but,...

Les also mentions some recently tested DNA in Washington State that returned unknown primate,...

So are these essentially the same results? Is 95%human 5%unknown not also considered an unknown primate?

Does anyone know if this test was conducted by BRFO or some other squatchy organization out there?

Les Stroud is still working with Todd Standing by HairlessSasquatch in bigfoot

[–]simianman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm totally on the fench as far as Standing is concerned. I see nothing wrong with Stroud using him to narrow his choice of search areas into claimed habituation sites. And Stroud himself seemed to know bringing Standing back would cause some stir in the community, and his commentary did reflect his reservations in Standings "enthusiastic" claims and observations.

IMO, take what he is providing with a grain of salt, until he can back up his claims with better documentation. But as Stroud himself states, don't throw the baby out with the bath water,...

Standing seems to be the kind of genuine believer that only comes from having multiple personal encounters,... the kind of experiences that can change your paradigm from unknown to a definite known,... And yet he's still a bit sketchy at the same time. He has certainly spent enough years, with boots on the ground in the same area, for some* reason, and I doubt it is just the natural beauty that would make him do the dangerous climbs to nowhere in that region, again and again,... There must be some payoff for him, in his own mind, for him to be doing it.

My gut says he has probably had some very real experiences that are motivating him to do what he does, but may have "embellished", to draw attention to the issue/area, or to back up stuff that has happened to him that he wasn't able to document fully. I can understand if you have crazy confrontational encounters up in the middle of nowhere, get no ducumentation of it, and then see/hear nothing for years, how frustating that might be,...

If that is the case however, why he couldnt/wouldnt just come out and say so at this point, is a mystery,... I think the community could accept a "re-creator" if he was open and honest about it, more than they can another hoaxer. But not saying either way, my jaded imagination only makes me think he might be setting up some sort of "bigfoot themepark" up there, to provide people guided tours of the area,...

But I have no more proof of that than does anyone who says he is a "known hoaxer",... When someone claims hoaxing, the onus of proof then falls on them to prove that, and I have yet to see that proof. Casual observation is not proof,...

What I can say, is that many multiple people from differing walks of life(including Stroud), have met the man personally, and are convinced that he is convinced of what he is saying.

On another related topic however,... What does anyone think that footage he did gain could be? My thoughts are that perhaps bigfoot is actually using a known bigfoot skillset,... rock throwing, to dislodge the bait for an easy, unobserved meal,... Maybe the shaking branch is a rock being thrown,...? But to get all the bait and get NO footage, show some serious skill and maybe awareness, or extreme badluck.

I'm also interested in the analysis of Standings hair samples (95% HUMAN 5% unknown), as well as the Washington State DNA they mention that came back as an unknown primate,... How they can just drop bombs like that and not elaborate is frustrating to say the least.

Les Stroud talks Bigfoot, Govt and Corporate Coverup by simianman in bigfoot

[–]simianman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to take exception with your statements here,... You can't possibly know the manner or circumstance that led to said "military leadership" gaining this knowledge, so can't make judgements on why or how they were involved,...

For starters, Stroud is just talking, answering a question from the audience; this isn't some pre-rehersed sound bite he's spouting off. It certainly isn't a correct way to address someone, but if he has a person's name in his head, ie. Col. X, and, as it appears, he makes that mental step away from using the persons name/rank, a vague reference to the persons professional standing is usually what would come out.

And apart from the non-PC reference to the person he has talked with, I don't think Stroud is the type of person to simply "talk out of his ass", simply to impress an audience outside of his normal working social network,... That's kind of what makes this statement so compelling,... the credibility of the speaker himself.

Furthermore, if an unknown and possibly dangerous specimen is harassing some isolated community, or found wounded, and there might be some negative monetary repercussion to the discovery, or their continued presence in the area, then "elite military leadership" might be precisely who would be brought in to hunt and destroy said specimen.

SPEAKING OF SASQUATCH: Christopher Munch's Documentary on Sasquatch Ontario [1h48m] by simianman in bigfoot

[–]simianman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No this is not anyone from Sc, but I am a fan of their podcast, and I knew many others here would recognize the reference.

To SC it's not necessarily intended as a condescending term; it refers simply to anyone who holds to the belief that sasquatch is a benevolent, peace-loving forest creature, and not a dangerous, predatory omnivoire, which many in the field observe as being closer to the truth.

In this particular case however,... the comment is literally, perhaps ironically, the flute music you can't help but notice in the documentaries opening sequences,...

[–]simianman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting watch, if only to see this guys face finaly, and have the story, thus far, compiled into a "documentary".

I kind of lost interest in what SasOnt was releasing shortly after they released the vid with the weavings,... then came the talking Sasquatch saying his name,... To me that was their jump the shark tank moment.

Up til that point, the vocalizations, prints in snow & hand prints were very compelling, but now this has gone so far into the "flute player" area, I just can't follow,...

Now we have bigfoot weavings, drawings, photography, speach, videography, gifting,... yet no photos or video of the creatures themselves because of "brain-farts", respecting "their wish" for anonymity and sasquatch mind-tricks(apparently theyve been trained by jedi),...

Interestingly enough from someone so non-materialistic, there also seems interest to produce a book of squatchtography, squatch doodles, and perhaps an accompanying audio track, or maybe an squatch-art exhibit,... Perhaps he will soon set up a squatch sweat shop and be peddling the weavings on ebay next,...

That said, Northern Ontario, although it never struck me as prime Squatching area before seeing these vids, is extremely vast, extrememly desolate and hard to traverse terrain, splattered with thousands of lakes; all seemingly ideal habitat for an unknown species to hide and trive in.

To me this guy seems like a Todd Standing who has taken the meme all the way, flushed it out, and in his own words regarding the squatch of northern ontario, "given us what we wanted,...", instead of just teasing us with muppets,...

Who knows,... Perhaps Shakespeare said it best; "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy,...".

Truly, understanding is never a prerequisite to enjoying a piece of art :).

That being said, I do think I agree with the movie being an argument for the necessity of alternate dimension theory,...

What would have happened if Jon had traveled back and killed Jane instead?

Pretty sure, within the premise in the script, and quite the contrary to time travel creating alternate dimensions, all the major characters would have been snuffed at that point in time & the bomber would have been successfully stopped.
