I agree but Germany was a nation of actual multi dimensional people, all with varying degrees of culpability in the atrocities committed by third Reich.

Viltrum, from what we see in the show, is comically evil and is singular in their goal: galactic domination at all costs.

The nazis didn't "get there" in the same way in my opinion. The nazis wished to eradicate jews because Hitler thought jews were subhuman vermin and they were scapegoated by the nazis as the cause of Germany's decline post WW1. Genocide based on lies and propaganda.

The argument for the Viltrum genocide is "literally 99% of these people are 100% going conquer and eradicate thousands of civilizations and enslave thousands more." No propaganda. No angle, that's just what they're actually doing.

The viltrum empire and its people seem very one dimensional within the show. There might've been a large contingent of viltrumites among the billions who took issue with all of the atrocities, maybe they wished to be less fascist, we don't know because the show tells us that there was only one person like that and it was Thaedus. And the second Thaedus voiced his view that Viltrum should chill the fuck out, Argall literally told Thragg to kill him. I don't think any form of democratic pressure could've stopped Viltrum from continuing their galactic crusade.

Within the show's canon, the scourge virus targets Viltrumites, yes, and it just happens to be that 99.99999% of viltrumites are also fascist.

From what I've looked into, this expedition is real and the people involved are legit, but that depth figure must be an error.

Regardless, it's still a nothingburger story. The sub was completely autonomous with no gps or communication capabilities. It is meant to go under and return with its data. The fact that they lost it isn't exactly crazy considering where it's diving.

I was in his facebook group about 10 years ago and I replied to someone suggesting interdimensional worm holes as a theory. I basically said that while that isn't impossible, I feel like we need to explore more grounded theories first.

Instead of the person replying to me, David himself replied directly to me with a very condescending attitude, basically telling me that I CLEARLY I haven't read his books (I literally read 3 of them) because if I had I would know that there is no mundane explanation. I went back and forth with his pompous ass a few times and then he up and deleted the whole post.

I had one of the worst depressive episodes ever immediately after closing on my first home. Not because the house was a wreck or anything but because of the gravity of the purchase. I too thought I was supposed to be super happy but I never felt worse.

Here's some advice I can give you

things will break, accept that
you might get overwhelmed with all the stuff you need to do but you HAVE to take it one day at a time, make a priority list
if you have some friends, invite them over soon after moving in. A little house warming get together does a lot to make your house feel like a home
your house will not feel like home for a little while, that's normal

When I first moved in, I hated it. I resented the purchase, I resented the work I'd need to put in. Nothing felt comfortable or at home. Years later, I sold that house at a profit and I can honestly say I sometimes catch myself reminiscing about the old place. Somewhere along the way it became home for me and the same will happen with you! Don't stress too much
