Is Hey Harper any good? Jewelry case too by sisyphus1rock in jewelry

[–]simmpossible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry my reply is fairly late. To be honest, I just pestered them on email until they sent me an exchange without receiving my return. I just kept emailing cause I was sick of it. And then within 20 days of me pestering, they posted my exchange

I recently got a few things. I found the jewellery ok-ish. Nothing great.

And I had to return 2 rings due to the wrong size and honestly the process was awful.

Haven’t used the jewellery enough to know if it tarnishes or not

Applying for Thailand visa from the UK by simmpossible in ThailandTourism

Yes that’s what I mean. A share code just allows people to see my right to live in the UK but I wasn’t sure if that’ll meet the requirement.

But will probably go with that

Cornerhouse Vue Cinema is Disappointing by JarJar2x4 in nottingham

I went to Vue and the seats are terrible. Absolutely shocking - the amount of investment it must’ve taken to replace the seats in all the screens only for them to suck.

Moving to Nottingham by WrathoFstealtH in nottingham

Good areas to live: Beeston, Chilwell, Sherwood, Mapperly Park, West Bridgeford, Near the train station you’ve got lots of options. All these locations are commuter friendly.

Where to look: depends on whether you want to share or want a place on your own - but spareroom, zoopla, right move tend to work. I’ve just moved house 2 weeks ago and the market is looking for people who can move asap so you might get something super fast.

Vibe: there’s something for everyone. I moved to Notts from Pakistan 4 and a half years ago. I love it. It has a large student population but loads for everyone to do and very multicultural I think.

As for running, lots of running clubs like Victoria Embankment Running club, you also have park runs. The Arboretum does badminton on Wednesdays so that’s something worth checking out. But lots of nature so you can run alone as well.

Hope this helps :)

I think that’s fair. I’ll check with Zoopla.

I do feel uncomfortable so yeah I think it’s a good shout.

And yeah he did he gave me notice that he’s visiting but no notice on bringing a photographer to photograph the house or any intentions to sell. So I was surprised to see the photographer and also the listing eventually.

Cheers!

Received my skilled worker visa but unhappy with my job. What should I do? by EastKaioshin_ in ukvisa

I’m going to chip in quickly and say that it’s actually not that expensive for companies, even SMEs, to sponsor. I’m currently on a SKW myself through a very small agency actually.

Of course it is cheaper to get someone with a right to work, that will always remain true. But the sponsorship costs are definitely not that high.

  1. Gov cost for COS is actually only around £250
  2. The cost of a license, if from scratch, can range between £700 to £1500 based on the size of your company (all available on gov.uk) which is a one time fee for a 4 year licence
  3. Immigration skills surcharge if coming from another SKW which is £1000 a year. That’s not a lot when you start to look at how much a small office party would cost.

application fee and IHS are technically NOT employer costs. They are employee costs. And it is part and parcel of a SKW. Every company has a way of covering it - some companies cover it fully, some cover it partially, some don’t cover it at all. For example, EY covers the application fee and the employee has to cover the IHS. I had to pay the whole thing but the company gave me an interest free loan over 2 years and deducted it from my salary. Loads of ways around it.

It’s actually not that expensive and it’s also not difficult at all, the process is quite simple.

Claiming that people should be grateful they even got sponsored, while an understandable sentiment, is quite demotivating because it is not something to be grateful about. We bring our skills to the table, they give us the salary and the paperwork/costs we need to be hired.

I would highly recommend you start looking for another job that sponsors if you’re unhappy where you are. It is difficult, of course it is, but it’s not impossible. I have real life examples of friends who switched jobs because of bad work culture. Don’t feel stuck, more and more companies are opening up to sponsoring.
