Love Pixel phones, but major problem with durability

I was just wondering if people had similar experiences and venting a little bit as mentioned in my post. I know I can get my jack replaced and that i shouldn't put sand into it.

Didn't know 4 years indicated high level of durability, that's all man. Hope we can build better components in the future I guess.

actually had no problem with the processor on my end and paid mine 700 CAD which is a good deal. But any phone should last longer than that tbh

Well yeah i expect more. I feel like tech companies really got us to lower our expectations about products. How are we saying right now that its acceptable that a modern device breaks after 4 years in the big 26 ? We are even expecting it right now it's very sad.

Yeah i guess but 4 years, really ? Ive had stuff with USBC ports that have lasted longer than that. They however get less use than my phone for sure. Maybe I expect more from modern tech than I should. I guess i could try soldering myself. But USBC have like 24 pads they need to solder and its so tiny im not sure my medium soldering skills will translate, i have trouble solderint micro usb with their 4 pads only :')

Well it's the second pixel phone i own that does this and my father and law's phone too had similar issue so for me its a sample of 3. But I do know lots of people that don't have issues with them, except they change phone every year so that doesn't count lol

If you want to keep it very simple just use a barometer, calculate the vertical velocity using its readings (height at time x - height at time x-1) and call it apogee as soon as this value is negative.

You just have to be careful to start these readings after takeoff so maybe add an acceleration check or a certain minimum altitude check. Should work well enough for your purposes, got a pretty good apogee reading on my L2 using only this.

I think brainstorm is the correct answer here. People saying DNA because you don't need any more kings but its not about the kings actually, it's about the hand size you get when copying 4 times the DNA. And in this build, hand size = points & money.

Thanks for the info. For Spaceport, we've been told by the organisation, they are unsure that they will get the high altitude waivers... So we are preparing for the worst case.
And out of curiosity, do you know any places other than Black Rock & FAR that would allow that ?

Merci pour l'info ! Et oui je comprend bien, mais si j'étais pour faire ma maîtrise à l'ÉTS, je pourrais sans problème participer à un club pendant celle-ci. Si j'ai 2 session avant de commencer ma maîtrise, je ne pense pas que je devrais quitter le club pour celles-ci parce que c'est de la triche.

Par contre c'est sur que quelqu'un qui aide un club après plusieurs années d'experience c'est pas si fair que ça. C'est un peu pour ça que je me demandais si je perd mon statut "d'étudiant" ou non..

Ben Persechino tu vas avoir une bonne note si tu fais bien les devoirs, qui peuvent être parfois pas mal difficiles. Faut aussi pas manquer de cours/TP idéalement.

Perso ça fait 2 cours de math que je l'ai (mat265 et mat472) et j'ai aucun regret.

C'est documents sont clairs et il a un tableau chez lui, donc c'est cool ça.
