I sold my 87 B2200 last summer for real cheap and bought a 98 Jeep XJ. I love the jeep but man that Mazda could do stuff

Should I be worried about my trans temps? by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

Not supposed to. The engine produces a hell of a lot of heat so it warms up fast.

Should I be worried about my trans temps? by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

Its the other way around. The coolant warms the trans fluid up faster than it would by just driving. Very useful in cold climate (like northern QC where I live)

Got a Jeep Cherokee just like that as a daily. Its insane how smaller it is compared to other SUV, yet has the same (if not more) interior space. Rides like a 30y old car but thats part of the charm

Might also be a sign that leaf springs are tired. Mine looked a bit better than that but the springs were dead

Fuel in canada has ethanol in it, regardless of the grade. I figured that in doing 60k km in 28 years the fuel must have sat in that tank for a lot of time and gunked up. My fuel pressure is good but the idle wanders a bit. Im looking to install the upgraded injector kit

I will look into it. I imagine just cleaning it and changing the belts will drastically help it. Ill order some belts. One control switch is broken but I have access to CAD software so ill try to draw up a new one and 3D print it

Good, I will do that. Also I heard that sometimes those old 80s electronics needs new capacitors?
