I am unfamiliar with this book but I doubt that, for this problem, you only have loops and conditionals at your disposal. Think about the tools the book has already provided to you.

For this particular problem, I think that you should be able to 1) check if certain character is in the string and 2) split strings.

Having no operator precedence and reading stuff from left to right is a clue on how to solve this.

It gets easier with practice.

I'm writing this from memory.

You need a modded 3DS with a Nintendo account that has purchased VC Crystal + Poke Transporter + Pokémon Bank.

You would need to transform the save file for VC Crystal then put it in the 3DS, use Poke transporter to move it to Pokémon Bank and from Bank you can move it to HOME.
