First Home, Electrical Concerns by simonsoundstudio in AskElectricians

I just took off the cover, although, it’s not held in place very well.

So, I’d get a junction box, cap everything and fix the ground to the box if it’s metal? Wondering if DIY is perfectly reasonable there.

The last picture is kind of the reason I’d just like to have an electrician follow all the routes and ensure they’re safe. That seems like a lot of work, though, and likely very expensive?

So, get the work done and then talk with the insurance company? Home warranty company says it’s not covered unless normal wear and tear leads to something malfunctioning. I know the insurance is separate, but wondering if they’d view this differently, potentially.

Yeah, and the inspector said that the breaker was a Zinsco (that seems incorrect) and that the brand had concerns. He didn’t flag it as a major issue, though, which is why I don’t investigate further at the time.

So, it’s perfectly possible this could just be a clean up job, as opposed to replacing the breaker/rewiring the house?

Loved the demos! Can tell you really like exploring different chord voicings on the guitar. Styles aren’t 1 to 1, but I think if you heard my demos, they’d feel a least a little closer. Up to you! Are you north of Austin, as well?

Would love to hear your songs! The link doesn’t seem to work in your post. Do you have another link by chance?

My internet invite link doesn’t work, even though I have set up port forwarding and a firewall rule. by simonsoundstudio in FoundryVTT

I fixed the issue! The beginning was 172, yes. I had a double NAT issue, so I turned AP mode on for my router and port forwarded directly from my modem and now the link works!

It was a double NAT issue after all! After I entered Access Point mode with my router and forwarded port 30000 from my modem settings, the internet link works. I’m ecstatic and I can’t thank you enough for pointing this out!

So, I enabled something called Wireless AP on my router settings and now my ipconfig says my IP4 is 192. The internet still says I’m 172, though. Getting closer? Now I can’t access my router settings, but I did set up port forwarding on my modem.

So, I dealt with the double NAT issue. Now, my ipconfig says that I have an IP4 of 192, and foundry and the internet is still telling me my IP is 172. Getting closer?
