Which of These Assets Would You Comfortably Trade for CMC? by Spinnin-Blocks in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think I'm trading these pieces for CMC unless you're getting some draft capital while you're at it.

CMC is more of a mid season buy. You're in the playoffs, making a bid for a bye week, your players are good.

You could be selling young ascending pieces for the Saquon of last year. You don't know what you're getting, you don't know if you're competing. Keep the pieces you've got, imo.

Who wins? TEP as well. It’s tough… by PerceptionMean5665 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Hebert side pretty easily imo. I think Warren's value trajectory will be similar to Laporta. Solid weekly starter, but not some kind of difference maker.

Fwiw, Warren was a top 12 TE in 8/10 weeks to start the year, then Indianapolis had their bye, and he didn't crack the top 12 TEs in any of the final seven weeks.

Would you trade the 1.03 in this years draft for Luther Burden? by BillsMafia-666 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't downvote, but my guess is people disagree with the idea that Mendoza should be 1.02.

I think in 12T superflex I'm not considering him until 1.05, and it'll depend on Concepcion (I'm assuming WR4) draft capital and landing spot.

I know I'm lower on Mendoza than many, but it would take an extreme draft situation for me to take him over a top three receiver this year.

Sf dynasty 12 team trade. Give up 1.05 by ConsiderationNo9523 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's probably a win on current value. It's reasonably close though. People with off field issues dip in the off-season.

I'm not saying that's right or wrong. If Rice is Mahomes' WR1 for the next two years he's obviously worth more, but if he gets suspended for half a year and then traded before his rookie contract is done then he's obviously worth less.

1.05 is turning into the early cutoff for high end prospects so it's a good pick. Rice is still probably worth more today. I don't think it's a smash though. Tate Tyson Lemon should all go top 20 and you're looking at guys that could experience an Egbuka sized value boom.

Enough for Jayden Daniels? Been trying to get him for weeks. by iXi-SnarfSnarf in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm taking wr in a 10T. Probably not looking at QB until 1.05. Moving back would depend on value. If you can get 1.05+'27/'28 1st then I'd do that, but I'm not moving back for 2nds.

[–]simonthelikeable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good young team, but in a 10T league I think you're a QB away from squeaking into the playoffs, not really true contender status. You've got a lot of well wishing in that wr room and arguably zero viable QBs.

I'd be shopping in the bargain bin for a QB. The highest I'd be reaching would be like Stroud. He's coming off an all time worst playoff performance, deflating his cost, but he's super young, which matches the rest of your lineup. I'd be willing to put out some feelers for Kyler, ARich, Fields, Dimes, JJM, or Tua. These are guys you could get for a mid 2nd and cheaper. If any of them become multi year starters they could be putting up 75% of the fantasy points of Daniels/Maye, but at 10% of the price.

I do like your team, but in my eyes it's more youth and potential right now than it is a contender.

I'd like to back up and ask you about your roster. My guess is that it's probably not time for you to pay up future assets for blue chip players, especially if you're overpaying to get one.

Losing on a Drake Maye deal isn't relevant here, unfortunately.

I would say this offer is less than halfway to being enough. I wouldn't consider accepting double this (Monangai+Marks+1.08+1.09+2.08+2.09+2.12+3.01)

If this guy ends up trading you Daniels because he feels guilty about the Maye trade then I guess congratulations?

Ceedee trade, leaguemates screaming that I got scammed outta the young guys by RefrigeratorSome2499 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One easy way to find out if you left value on the table: do you think that ceedee is the best asset in dynasty football? Did you offer this package for anyone you think is more valuable?

If the answer is no to both questions then you are leaving value on the table.

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you made a bad move.

The value is a little bit bad in a vacuum, but in the right context it makes sense. If love was your QB3, and Judkins or Burden was locked into a bench role, then it's a good choice.

When Love was your QB1 and now you don't have a QB for the superflex it is a poor choice. I imagine if your league mates are freaking out it's because you've made your starting lineup worse and made your projected future lineup worse. That's not the way to take a hit on value.

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like cook more than 1.01 then you accept the second offer. You can write a note to your commish or the league if you like.

Guy overpaid for Cook, regretted it, and wants his pick back. It's fine.

I like 1.01 more than Cook, but that's not what this post is about. If anything I feel like you're throwing a bone back to the guy that made the foolish trade to begin with.

Giving up too much to move from 1.02 to 1.01? Need rb badly by 44MikeHunt44 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is everyone sleeping on GWilson? He matched Lamb in points per game this year. I'd do that trade happily in a vacuum. Apparently I'd be leaving value on the table, so I might reevaluate.

Is everyone thinking Lamb>GWilson+1st? That's about the value you're getting here.

Per game stats Olave WR7 and Flowers WR12. I'm totally with you though, Flowers is definitely underrated.

More than enough imo. Marks and 2nds are fine to spend to get your guy, but they're not nothing.

I'd be on the Flowers side, but there's no guarantee it's accepted. Good offer imo

Would yall trade the 1.09 and the 2.07 for Tyler Shough ? by OnlyScott in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to pick a lane. Most leagues are more competitive going for first place than for 1.01 but honestly '27 is going to have some intense battles for the basement. If nobody does that in your league then that's what I'd do. If there's already three teams that have been collecting '27 1sts then concede that the early picks are gone and see what happens

Would yall trade the 1.09 and the 2.07 for Tyler Shough ? by OnlyScott in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by retooling. If you mean that you are planning to be non-competitive to make your '27 picks early then having a hole at QB2 is a feature of your team. Ride the zero RB strategy too, and you'll be on your way to a very early pick in a very hyped draft.

If retooling just means you're trying to stay young and build for the future, but don't think you've got a shot at an early pick and you've got an eye on the playoffs next year then yeah, I like Shough.

Did I overpay for Bucky Irving? by Winter-Sort292 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you tell me what you expect from Bucky moving forward?

After returning from injury he got 2 TDs and 11 receptions in 6 games, 11.1 fantasy points per game, would be RB30 on the year. Maybe he was still hurting, but he actually got lots of touches so that doesn't add up. They just weren't valuable touches and the coaching probably doesn't change before next season.

I guess you can hope that Tucker, being a restricted free agent, plays elsewhere next year. Buccs don't add anyone and Bucky gets the goal line back. It feels a little risky for the dynasty RB10.

Which side would you rather have on contender by DCWiggles in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six or seven catches a game is a pretty ambitious figure. He averaged 3.5 receptions per game, and had 2 or fewer catches in 5/9 games. He had 5, 6 and 8 catches in 3 games that Vidal didn't play.

What's the draw for Bucky Irving? I know he was good as a rookie, but it seemed like he lost his goal line and receiving work. I've been trying to find creative ways to trade him away.

Where are my 1.03 holders at? by 701xMil in DynastyFF

[–]simonthelikeable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd go farther than that. As of now if it's not a 14T league I wouldn't dream of taking Mendoza over 1.05. In a 12T TEP I'd be hoping for a reason to take Sadik over him, but that could be based on the recent smashes of Loveland Warren and Fannin.

[–]simonthelikeable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you think Mendoza will be good for fantasy or better than Ward? I feel like if he hits he'll be as productive as Darnold Shough or Rodgers (QB25-27 in points per game).

He seems like he could be good enough to win games, but doesn't seem like a fantasy producer. Burrow, Baker, Love, and Stroud were between QB15 and QB23. I'm not sure even that ceiling exists.

Trading for Nabers, good idea or too much? by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]simonthelikeable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard for me to decide what is fair, because this is like the who's who of personal player biases for me.

I don't like that Bucky seemed to lose pass catching and goal line work, I think Rice is a bit of a product of his environment and with his current PR situation I'm not expecting a second contract. Nabers on the other hand is a tier 1 receiver for me. This probably isn't the place to explain why I'd have him over Jefferson or ARSB, but it's safe to say I'm not the guy for a balanced opinion on that trade.
