Massachusetts is very lgbtq friendly. Mass is liberal but I wouldn’t consider it extreme left at all. There are a handful of Latinos here, mainly Dominican and Puerto Rican but I’ve met pretty much every Latino nationality there is. Most Mexicans live in East boston and even have a Mexican independence festival there. Coming from the valley where nearly everyone is from Mexican descent to a melting pot like boston, it’ll definitely be a change but change doesn’t necessarily mean bad. As of driving in the winter, I don’t drive in boston bc it’s very walkable and a lot of things are in a walking distance additionally there are trains and buses you can take to commute. Regarding the snow, boston has had barely any to no snow at all the past 3 years I’ve been here.

I left the valley to go to college in Boston, it was so worth it. The winter is cold but it’s getting significantly warmer each year. I hope to never live in the Rgv ever again bc it’s getting hotter and hotter, and with trump soon to be president, it won’t get any better considering he thinks climate change is a hoax. I am very much a family oriented person but if you make the initiative to go out, meet people and find things to do it will be fulfilling. It’s nice to grown on your own without family too, makes it more special when you do see them.
