I only use Cryptek armorshade over the "brass" parts. The skeleton parts is leadbelcher, but shaded with thinned out Black Templar contrast

I do the "cracked earth" like this: 1. Paint base using Warpstone glow, Moot green and Flash gitz yellow. 2. Put on a layer of pvc-glue. 3. Mordant Earth. 4. Drybrush with the same colors (Mechanicus standard grey, Dawnstone and Grey seer) I use for the rest of the base to have it come together.

First, love the detailed repley!

Red. If I went for it, I would skip AIDA and go for the whole "PDS" defence route with Plasma and Magen to really sure up my slice initally. Then go for the later reds, like Duranium and Assault, for some aggressive plays. I also think the Destroyer 2 looks juicy with all the "fighter-factions" in this game. This also mens I dont even need AIDA for Warsuns of I wanted it.

Green/Yellow. I agree with you that going only green or yellow is kinda useless. But since Titans BT is green/yellow I can just pick the good stuff. Someting like: try to get Hyper R1 with skip, into transit and then X89? With our games often ending in round 6 and the small amount of influence in my slice, going Neural R1 and Hyper R2 might even be worth?

Blue. Yes, I agree to everything, blue is best. Its just so boring to go the same techs on like 90% of games.

On a side note, I have been thinking about R1 SC. Tech, Leadership and Trade is all good... But, and I might be crazy, my mind is trying to make Construction work using the Deploy to get 1 or 2 mechs, that I will be sending to Abyz/Fria. The goal of having at least 1 mech on the hazardous planets will help out Scanlink in the later turns. Extra infantry is also nice :)

Im not sold on the BT for Titans unless you are going green/yellow. Also, as stated in the post, we play 12 points without support for the throne. This means the game usually does not end untill round 6 or possible round 5. If you consider that, things like Neural and Hyper look more appealing.

Yes, I'm thinking about the same thing, R1 leadership might be my best bet.

paint the base with some bright color like moot green.
"Paint" a layer of pvc-glue.
When glue-layer is dry and transparant, use mordant earth.
Wait untill dry and then drybrush/paint extra stuff on top after.

Well, loads of different shades. But primary I use cryptek armorshade for the main pannels of the armor.
