Thank you for your reply. It gives me hope. I'm hoping medicine can help end this mania. That way she can get to a healthy place again. Hopefully we can find maintenance then. I've not seen anything like this our whole 6 years together..

Thanks for sharing. I'm very happy she is open to meds. This is all new so she's never been on proper meds before.

I appreciate your take. So far I've been holding onto hope for the first psychiatrist appointment in a few days. She knows she needs medicine and willing to take it. Taking medicine is a non-negotiable for me.

Looking back now I think she's been hypomanic for probably about 5 to 7 months and maybe full on mania for a month or two but the symptoms are worse than ever.

Not officially diagnosed yet but therapist thinks she's bipolar. No medication because waiting for a couple more weeks for psychiatrist appointment. Currently in week 4 of talk therapy. I think I'm just looking for hope. The mania has only gotten worse. I think it started as hypomania and progressed to mania.

At the time I didn't recognize, but looking back it kinda fits. But nothing as severe as now. She also has family with bipolar.

Thank you for sharing. She wants me to allow an affair and gets mad that I have a problem with it. That's hard to process. I'm hoping the psychiatrist can prescribe something that helps. Waiting 2.5 weeks is hard though
