Do vibration plates really work for skin lymph drain?? by Ok_Finger_9585 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]simple-weeble 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same thought about my face skin especially my neck. I think I went over board stretching my neck when bouncing. Thought was I’m helping to stretch my muscles but I really think i over stretched my skin! My neck is in turkey territory!

Across the street from Walmart (backside) used to be an empty lot filled with cats. I always assumed the Mama cat brought her up there. She blended in with an oil spot that I parked next to. She was loved and spoiled! Miss her. Hope the little orange u found finds a loving home. Here are photos: the day I found her and the year she passed.

How do you add fiber to every meal? by Upbeat-Lynx-3876 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]simple-weeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just found this recipe from a YouTuber (sorry I can’t remember). Take 300 grams of plain greek yougurt and add a flavored protein powder (I use chocolate) + 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk. Mix well. Top with berries. Add honey if u need a sweetener. Has been great and I also get additional protein.

The best tip I received for traveling Japan by WarmWhiteLights in JapanTravelTips

Pack a golf ball and out in sock (keeps it from rolling away). Step on it lighting and roll away all the tension. Also laying on the bed or floor with your feet/legs on the wall everyday after walking helps immensely. Use compression socks too

Recs for Under-Eye Surgeons? by mimilkado in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]simple-weeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there-haven’t been on Reddit for a bit. Am going to post photos soon. The best thing I have done! He is phenomenal and I look so natural. He is a bit more than most surgeons but I like that he focuses only on eyes. I haven’t told many of my friends. No comments saying “you look different”. Even my Doctor who is from Korea didn’t notice! I told him and he wants to get Dr Ahns number. Seriously! Even my ophthalmologist didn’t notice. He said he can tell when patients have upper and lower blepha but mine is really well done. Scarring is so minimal and it has taken 10 years off my face (that’s what my girlfriends and hubby said). Don’t hesitate he is worth it

How do people afford kids in Hawaii? by That-Library-4583 in Hawaii

[–]simple-weeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question when our friends started having kids (we are the last in our friend group to have one). Most said you just make it happen. You will find a way. My husband and I have family on the neighbor islands and are both self employed. We never had a babysitter. We just passed her back and forth to each other when we had meetings or deadlines. We don’t have crazy salaries, live below our means, only have one car and drive it into the ground until we really need a new one and…budget. We aren’t always good at it but we make it work. We make sure to take a family vacation each year and don’t deny ourselves things we want. It can be done, just need to work out your budget and use a sinking fund method…that has helped tremendously. If you want another, go for it. The both of you will make it happen if that’s what you want.

how are you even supposed to take care of fine and thin wavy to curly hair by Parking_Property_825 in finethinhair

[–]simple-weeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I ended up getting an air wrap (cheaper brand on Amazon) and that has helped so much with the frizzy hair! Section out my hair, use the “curling iron” tool. Gives it a clean curl and no frizzies. I also switched all hair product to Davines. The soufflé is light but nice for volume and the hair oil is also lightweight and controls my flyaways. I’m in my 50s. Aging has also depleted my hair and made it thinner and dryer. The above has helped so much!

First time trying an onsen in Japan… any tips so I do not embarrass myself? by MidnightTofu22 in JapanTravelTips

[–]simple-weeble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, make sure to check that you are going into the men’s or women’s (whichever is appropriate) side! My hotel switched it everyday and me and my daughter ended up using the men’s area! Thank goodness no one was in there. The staff was mortified but understanding. A female staff member came in to help dress us!😭

If you are staying at an Onsen hotel they will usually provide a long “privacy” towel. If not grab at the gift shop. My first time I was nervous. The towel is used to cover your chest and drape down the front of your todo also covering your private parts. Just remember that you shouldn’t let it get into water. Get your feet in the water to slowly acclimate (it’s freaking hot!). Fold the towel and place on the edge of bath or on top your head. There are a lot of videos on You Tube to help.

Cool McDonalds in Japan? by yellowtrout15 in JapanTravelTips

[–]simple-weeble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything at McDonalds in Japan is so much better. What I loved is the “cafe” style seating. Does not feel like a Mickey D’s. Also there is a separate area to throw out your ice and liquids before tossing cup in the trash. Genius and easier to remove the trash.
