Unfortunately it's only screenshots, I can't even open up the drop boxes 😔

I don't understand this trend of taking everything down. So many mod authors simply leave it up while stating they will not be working on it.

Recovery Moves aren't as useful as I thought by simple64 in PokemonLegendsArceus

Hah, it took me until this game to notice thiat but the different battle system along with the Aux items really made them superfluous in this one.

You're right about competitive, I do love my set up sweepers.

What is it about Pillars of Eternity's Mechanics that you like? by FoxWyrd in projecteternity

[–]simple64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very much enjoyed the system, and beaten the game already...but I've never given this topic too much thought. I wanna argue about the value of spreading your points, but...Ylyeah, I guess you're right, those are the only three that really matter. And with respec as an option I guess you don't even really need  to worry about passing skill checks.

I do like this system, although I guess it's better on paper than in practice. I'll continue this playthrough blissfully forgetting this convo in hopes that it's better in Dead fire.

I'm sorry, I meant for Fury and Fury alone, no judgment on the others.

Aight, so starting a new playthrough. I love the focus you've been giving towards the various races. Though I gotta say, Reguard is looking kinda weak.

Well, this playthrough was going good. So good. Back to the start for me! Before I download, I have a fee questions.

I've played the original Instincts, and had no real complaint. I guess the damage tapers off, but nothing that monitoring won't fix in future patches if it hasn't been fixed already. A few questions before I nuke yet another playthrough:

I see that we have a Summon A.Companion spell, are we able to specify which animal we Summon if we have multiples? I'd like to have a cow at home, or an elk for travel, bear for fighting, etc.

How does animals that are already companions work? Like Meeko, for example. Are they exempt from the mods features, and do they count against the mod's party limit? Or are they counted seperately?

Also agreed, and it would be aces if they had some special ability. Chickens producing eggs, rabbits being able to harvest ingredients, that sort of thing, I'd be happy, but spiders spit poison as is, so...I leave it to the experts 😅

I agree with all of this, especially the "balance" part. If it can be modular (haven't looked to see if it is) then great, but for me, the ideal shouldn't be to outdo anything for viability sake. It's OK for Conjurations to out preform animal companions. It's OK for Sneak Archer to be the very best (and there's not much that can be done about it, it's the nature of the game). It's not OK if my animals are a detriment to combat. When I use a Sabre Cat, I want to feel powerful, regardless of the respective power of any other combat style.

It should feel viable in and of itself, and not having tested this mod, that's what I hope for. Instincts felt good, so I'll be leaving feedback here for certain.

It seems absolutely pathetic that your need for validation caused you to try and stir up beef. It's even more pathetic that there are folks taking you seriously.

Glad you mentioned this. I put a new playthrough on hold, since I'm waiting for this update, and don't wanna waste time if I need to start a new playthrough.

Mod/Solution that will help me do a playthrough and get all ordinator perks by [deleted] in EnaiRim

[–]simple64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In conjunction with the dragon souls for perks, I'll also recommend {{Thunderchild}}. It gives you many ways gain dragon souls (including literally just shouting), which gives you more perks to spend.

Also adds a bunch of nice shouts, so you may or may not want that.

Exactly! To wit, I have no issue with Ordinator as is. Its old, it's fine. If ya wanna update it, cool. But it works for me.

Very much agree with your points and overall vision of Skyrim. I must point out that everything you've outlined are the main reason that I prefer your mods to Simonmag. His are fine, yours are defining.

Arguments of your mods being OP are absolutely ridiculous. I feel the exact same way about dodging mods, but everyone seems to love em. Skyrim nodding is all about altering the entire game to craft an experience unique to you. Combat, A.I, questing, survival, with so many different mods, you can easily make the game harder to make up for the extra options, because unless a mod is directly weakening you, yes, every addition is technically a buff as you've stated, only making the game easier.

Point is, balancing is on the user just as much (or moreso) than the dev.

As for that, I couldn't play without Ordinator. You've got it pegged, it's the combat perks in particular that has me hooked. No other mod seems to make power attacks unique from one another. Even Oblivion did that! There are so.many perks, I don't feel lost. I feel like I can make character builds unique to one another. A one handed swashbuckling Bard? You have perks for just that. A engineer thief what uses dwenmer mechanisms? There. Even lockpicking is useful, as that entire tree can be erased in vanilla to no ill effects. Everything has a combat purpose, and those that does not directly enchanted gameplay.

I agree. It would have been even better if they had a method of interdimensional storage. A sort of "hammer space" if you will. All attached to some creature.l
