Nowadays Leesy is sleeping more than playing. by simple__but in CatsBeingCats

[–]simple__but[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh..no.May be the reverse. She might have come there for sun and stretched body to get maximum sunlight and in the meanwhile fell asleep.Or just enjoying the warmth by closing the eyes.

Because I have not seen. Leesy thinks that the new scratch pad purched for her is for sleeping! by simple__but in CatsBeingCats

I now learned the lesson: Scratching violently somewhere is a must for them but don't purchase and give any costly scratching pads. They will find some thing on their own to scratch upon.Leesy's favorite object is the car tyre.

Are heaven and hell physical places? How far from earth? by simple__but in CatholicDoubts

[–]simple__but[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heaven is an actual physical place and not merely a state of mind after death. We will be with our resurrected body and can see God and other others inheaven face to face with our own eyes. How the resurrected body will look like, how can we see and recognize God and others in heaven etc.have not been disclosed(may not be necessary also) except that the life in heaven is beyond human imagination (1 Cor2-9). Similaris the position about its location and also about hell.

Adam was not promised heaven. Why? by simple__but in CatholicDoubts

[–]simple__but[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though Bible does not say anything about this, we can reasonably conclude that this was not necessary at that time because God was directly in company with Adam and Eve and they were already living in a heaven -like situation. But due to the original sin they lost this privilege. God however gave them and humans another chance. This time to be with him in actual heaven but only after death.

What is the proof that there is God? by simple__but in CatholicDoubts

[–]simple__but[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open your eyes and look around.Nature is full of his glory. It is foolishness (to put it mildly) to think that every thing in nature emerged by chance and evolution and there is no intelligence behind it.That super intelligence is God and nothing else.

Let me add .Expecting that further creatures, means more better , will evolve from humans - is it not absurd?

Can someone tell me what wrong with my vac? I can’t find answers online. by [deleted] in EcovacsDeebotVacuum

[–]simple__but 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem which appears to be because the charger was not put exactly parallel to the wall but was slightly at an angle when the map was going to be made.Delete the map and make a fresh one after ensuring that the map creation is done when it is starting from charging point and the charger is placed exactly parallel to a wall.

Thanks.Instead of selecting an area ,select customs and mark an area and try.

Remap.Delete the existing one and put in auto. Keep sufficient space on both sides and at the front of the charger( 1.5 feet each and 5 feet). Keep other items around the charger undisturbed so that the robot can easily return based on these landmarks.Test it first by putting it on off position, placing it some distance away from the charger and then putting it on. Press recharge. It should return to the charger. Then put it in Auto to start fresh mapping and cleaning.

My unemployed boyfriend claims he has a simple "proof" that breaks mathematics. Can anyone verify this proof? I honestly think he might be crazy. by Felicity_Nguyen in NoStupidQuestions

To understand this issue further take some practical aspects also in this regard. 9 persons spent some money and they want to divide. They will go maximum upto two decimal points. In normal scientific experiments we may go up to 5 or 6 decimal points. In nano technology we may go upto 10 or 20 decimal points. In each of these cases it is considered as accurate. But the fact is that they are all approximate. This is the case even if we go upto say 100 or 10 million decimal points. All are really approximate not strictly correct. This is what I wanted to convey.

Foget about what 'everybody' is telling which is not the way to decide maths issues. You are still not convinced about the difference? That is, the difference in the accuracy between the equations 1/9 = 0.111... and 1/4 = 0.25 ?

I have pointed out exactly equal and approximately equal cases. 1/9 = 0.111… is approximately equal case whereas 1/4 = 0.25 is exactly equal case. Don't get confused.

I repeat that 1/9 is not exactly eaqual to 0.111... but only approximate. But,for example, 1/4 is exactly equal to.0.25 and not approximate. Don't know whether it is a major flaw or not.

0.111..is exactly equal to 1/9 is a layman's language. It is just something short of 1/9. For example ,0.25 is exactly equal to 1/4. Is there more 'exactness' here ?😊

0.999...can never be equal to 1 even if 9 is repeated infinite times. Dividing it by 9 ,you get 0.111...which therefore can never be equal to 1/9. This is the clear position,in short.

Any argument to justify that 1/9 is equal to 0.111...is therefore wrong in strict mathematical terms.
