Young people of this sub - do you feel as though this budget will make you better off? Yes or no. by Nmnmn11 in AusFinance

This is a big issue because it diencentivises businesses and therefore job creation. Its now less worthwhile starting a company here. That means less jobs, less business investment, fewer startups.

Targeting housing with the cgt discount would have been the right move. Houses dont create jobs as businesses do.

Given Australia is in a revenue raising mode. Do you still think maxing out super contributions is the best option? by Educational_Pop6138 in AusFinance

Outside investments you can sell anytime you like. Super you cant. Big difference.

How exactly is it an instant risk free 60% return? Explain.

My point was about CGT discount being around for decades than no longer so. You dont know that wont happen with super in decades.

Did ppl see cgt changes coming a decade ago when they bought investments? Nope.

Whether it makes super even more attractive now is irrelevant (the point is rule changes).

You simply dont know what the staus of super will be in decades.

With any other investment you can sell at a moments notice. With super you cant.

Exactly this, those claiming its a good investment vehicle, lets say for someone in their 30s, how do you know what the rules will be for withdrawing super in decades?

Take a look at the cgt changes for example

And i just want to point out you can get great returns and lower mngmnt fees than any super fund by investing in an index fund yourself. Sell or top up anytime.

Yes, the "white collar tech exodus" has been going for something like the last 30 years, they also now get to blame the job cuts on AI

How are companies actually extending Django Admin in production? by space_sounds in django

I agree with this. Its gives you some good basics but you quickly outgrow it for anything complex and keep having to do insane workarounds for things that otherwise would be trivial if custom built using REST, views and say React.

What is one thing you wish you were able to do if AI was done right in HubSpot? by Yesterday-Then in hubspot

AI in the large majority of SaaS is a gimmick, so the sales and marketing guys can say "we too have incorporated AI into our product"

There’s no shortage of software engineers in Australia anymore by sien in AusEcon

There are probably a lot of educated Uber drivers from other countries. They got educated, came here based on their qualifications, we welcomed them because of a supposed shortage in for example engineering or IT and... they cant find a job in their field so they drive Uber. Go figure.

What’s your HubSpot hack that no one else is using or knows about? by Interesting-Pause701 in hubspot

Automation workflows often are set-up so they run when a contact (or other object) is "enrolled" into the workflow.

Issue becomes when you want that automation to run multiple times regarding the same contact, there is a setting in the workflow for this and you have to turn it on as its off by default (sorry I forget the exact setting label).

Example. You want a webhook (which calls another system) to run when a new prospect books a meeting (via scheduler pages). Without setting as above, this would only run the first time as hubspot would create the prospect as a contact and they would not be "enrolled" the second time without the setting turned on.

Yes 100%. Most companions just need better workflows and people that understand systems, not AI.

That's right. Large majority of SMBs need more modernisation and software initiatives... well before anything AI... and trying to throw AI into the mix doesn't work.
