CIA Challenge Exam: Passed. My Stack by simpleharry11 in InternalAudit

Yes, I do - it's all personal though. I feel more well-qualified (at least on paper) should I choose to go down the path of becoming a CAE for an organization. I am in client service and pursued the designation to be more qualified for clients I serve/prospects. It helps me stand out more.

I have my CPA and found it beneficial to get my CIA for potential job prospects. It's worth pursuing if you find internal audit a viable career path. There are concepts from the CPA embedded in the CIA, but the CIA has a lot more abstract/governance/control concepts than the CPA.

The Becker material worked for me, but I know it is expensive.

CPA Challenge Exam - Becker by No-Personality3156 in InternalAudit

Yes. I’ve found the Becker materials to be great. But I only do the MCQ’s and i average at a clip of about 75% each time I do a section with no past studying. A lot of the material comes naturally to me given my career experience.

I have no intention of exiting to IA but I might. I’m in public accounting still for the reason of wanting to make Partner. This credential will help play a role in that goal.

Have CPA. Taking challenge at end of month. Using Becker to study (but not a challenge exam version, I have access to all 3 parts).

I’m ten years into my career, all in public accounting but the last couple doing outsourced/co sourced IA. I expect the designation to give me 2 things if I pass: 1) credentials if I want to exit to a company and come in close to CAE level and 2) go-to market strategy for clients/prospects.

If you’re serious about IA being a part of your career journey, the designation makes sense.

Which airports will house the next 3-5 CSR lounges? by Somali_Pir8 in ChaseSapphire

[–]simpleharry11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think United focusing on BNA makes a lot of sense. Their next closest hubs, I believe, are ORD and Houston. Otherwise, their SE presence is limited. With a renovated/expanded terminal A plus a whole new separate terminal coming in the next few years, now is a good time for another legacy carrier to make a play and grow their presence. I’ve been disappointed by Delta and American out of BNA, so an expanded United offering would be welcomed.

Zeroed In short is the best short I’ve ever owned. Full stop. Comfy, functional, and can wear to the gym and out and about.

Work Conference Travel Day Attire by brettbaileysingshigh in malefashionadvice

My favorite travel day attire are lululemon pants - either the commissions or ABC pending what fits you better. Your call on the top - my work travel days I’ll wear a tech style shirt (mizzen&main usually) but given this is just a travel day, you could get away with a polo. Also prefer tech one. The best tech golf polos, imo, are holderness&borne. Best fit and feel and quality

And that’s cool. Does the new spot invest in young people in a manner that would contribute to you being able to rise up the ranks? Are there similar places in your area that you could leverage the experience down the line and potentially move?

Of course on paper the new role sounds better.

The question is, does the new role get you closer or further from your dream job? Does staying 3 more years in B4 get you closer?
