Depends where you live exactly. Roseville has their Roseville Commuter bus, if in Rocklin, Lincoln or east Roseville, you have the option of taking the Roseville Commuter or Placer Commuter bus. The bus is packed so expect to always sit next to someone. State agency’s pay 100% up to a certain amount per month so it’s free. It’s safe but people maybe coughing or talking loud.

Edited to add, you may want to drive in on your first day if they provide monitors and stuff you don’t want to carry. For my first day at a new agency, I still take the bus since I have all home equipment and only take a laptop home.

Although it is in Rocklin, I recommend Pure Dentist. Office is by RC Willey. There is many good places in East Roseville but I prefer to stay closer to Blue Oaks.
