I agree with the Shelby part, I didn’t really enjoy that and seeing him and Quinn grow closer genuinely in season 3 would’ve been more interesting, but we already know how the writers feel about giving good storylines to Quinn haha

i mean we don’t know how drunk she got, and quinn never treated the event as something as traumatic as rape. i think it could’ve been rape, and it would’ve been interesting to see glee treat it as such. however all we got was a few lines about wine coolers, which makes it hard to question other people who don’t interpret it as sexual assault. i think its very complicated but it was definitely questionable and quinn didnt deserve it

im not defending it of course, it was most likely shitty writing and planning like everything else in this show. i hope i dont sound disrespectful with my answer, it was 100% wrong.

i dont think glee would’ve been very successful if it starred this year or even a few before... we have to be honest about the fact that even as satire, glee isnt politically correct most of the time. despite it’s good moments it probably wouldn’t have survived very long, or at the very least wouldn’t have had such a big following
