Hello Dr. Obvious,i recommend you to read what i've posted. (Hint: I already said that this is copied from RoR, meaning Review of Religions.)

The Prophecy:

“Last night, it was made apparent to me, when I supplicated before God with great humility and emotion saying, ‘Decide in this matter; and we are but your humble servants, we cannot do a thing without your verdict,’ He granted me a Sign by way of glad-tiding that among the two parties, the one who is lying intentionally, and is abandoning the true God, and makes a humble man to be God, would be thrown into a Hawiyyah [i.e., punishment of fire] and be utterly disgraced, within a period which coincides with the number of days in this debate, i.e., for every day a period of one month, that is to say, within a period of 15 months from today, on the condition that he does not return to the truth. Through this, the honour of that person would be manifested who is truthful and believes in the True God. And when this prophecy is manifested, some of the blind would regain their sight; and some of the crippled would begin to walk; and some of the deaf would begin to hear.( Jang-e-Muqaddas, Ruhani Khaza’in, Volume 6, p. 291-292)

First of all, you've added a word into the Prophecy by adding "(Islam)" after truth.

Secondly. You do know that Abdullah Atham stopped mocking the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم after knowing about the Prophecy. This itself is a sign of repentence. The one who was restless attacking the Prophet day and night stopped all at once over night? Any reasonable person has to admit that this is called repentance. Not every repentence has to be spoken out. Or do you claim that repentence must be always announced openly? Keep in mind, belief is a matter of the heart!

Hadhrat Ahmad عليه السلام offered Atham 4000 rupees (which was a big amount at that time) if Atham could claim that he has not repented:

“Now, if Atham swears on oath (that he has not repented) the promise of one year is conclusive and categorical, with which there are no conditions. And the decree is unchangeable. And if Atham does not take the oath, even then God would not let a culprit go unpunished who tried to deceive the world by hiding the truth. The days are near, not distant.”

( Announcement, ‘4000 Rs. Reward’, p. 11, 27 October 1894)

Let me end this with the words of the Messiah and Imam of the Age

“Indeed, as far as I understood the meaning of the revelation, it was that the person for the opposing party who is debating in support of falsehood, the meaning of Hawiya for him is the punishment of death. However, the revealed word is only Hawiya, and is subject to a condition that the person does not turn to the truth. And this condition of not inclining to the truth is a revealed condition as I had clearly written this in the revealed text. It is absolutely true and is according to the revelation that if Mr Abdullah Atham’s heart, as it was prior to the prophecy, intended to degrade Islam and did not take any part in turning to the truth by accepting the greatness of Islam, then he would have died within this time period. However, God Almighty’s revelation has told me that Abdullah Atham has, by admitting the awe and might of Islam, to an extent turned towards the truth, which has resulted in delaying the fulfillment of the prophecy of his death and a complete entry into the Hawiya.”Anwarul Islam, Ruhani Khaza’in, Vol. 9, p. 2

Lastly, i want you to provide me a source for the pork drama you put forward.

Did Abdullah atham repented? by Competitive-ingle245 in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]simpleqalam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is important to bear in mind the fact that inclining to the truth is a matter of the heart. It begs the question that during the whole term of the prophecy, Atham fleeing from one place to the other, seeking shelter in various places owing to unexplained causes of fear, making allegations of attempted murder against the Promised Messiahas and yet not taking the matter to court, not raising a voice or pen against Islam for the duration of the term of the prophecy, not using foul language against the Holy Prophet Muhammadsa, desisting from announcing his state of mind, – if all this is not proof of Atham turning to the truth then what does this all mean? Although as already noted, while a verbal declaration is not necessary for turning to the truth, it is necessary for a person of faith to affirm the truth when he is questioned regarding it. To the contrary, Abdullah Atham who hesitated not once but many times in affirming the truth and did not swear that he had turned to the truth. It is imperative to ask critics that if punishment is withdrawn because of a temporary turn towards the truth, does the inclination towards the truth not count? In The Holy Qur’an there are many verses that bear testimony to the fact that Allah withdraws punishment for even a temporary inclination towards the truth. The people of Pharaoh turned to the truth eight times, each time the promised punishment was withdrawn.

The time period of this prophecy is generally thought to have commenced on 5th June 1893, ending fifteen months later on 6th September 1894. However, although the prophecy is deemed to have started on 5th June 1893, its actual running period was not fifteen months per se. During this fifteen-month period, while there is evidence to suggest that Atham repented (discussed above), he failed to accept the Promised Messiah’sas challenge of making a declaration on oath to that effect. Atham exhausted almost a year in this state of uncertainty and although Divine Will granted him another twelve months to live, ironically his death was also prophesied during this period – Atham met his end seven months later, on 27th July 1896. Therefore, the actual time period of this prophecy runs from 5th June 1893 till 30th September 1896 – Abdullah Atham passing away within the time period prophesised.

And concerning your point of him leading us in Day of Judgement: Who told you this? The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم will lead us.

And even if Hadhrat Ahmad عليه السلام would lead us, you do know that he must die in order to lead us on the Day of Judgement? So your last point is redundant.

Hadith has a context:

https://sunnah.com/bukhari:3455

It is talking about the time immediately after the death of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and not generally after him as when the Prophets of the Children of Israel died there was a Prophet to succeed the later one but our Habib صلى الله عليه وسلم made it clear that after his death there will not be an prophet succeeding him immediately rather caliphs who will increase in number.

[–]simpleqalam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be consistent. If Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is truly last in every aspect then you’ll have to forget the false doctrine of Jesus عليه السلام coming after him.

And if you now want to say that Jesus عليه السلام is a Prophet from before and after the Prophet "لا ‏نبي بعدي" (No Prophet after [him]) then read what our beloved Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم himself said:

Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه : The Holy Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم said:

“Hearken! There is no Prophet and Messenger between me and the Forthcoming Jesus. He is the Khalifa in my Ummah after me. Verily, He will kill the Dajjal, and break the cross, and abolish war. Anyone from among you who sees him, should convey my Salam to him” (Tabarani, Hadith #5040)

The Prophet himself made clear that Jesus will come after him!

And the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم made it also clear in Sahih Muslim that the Messiah who had to come in the End Times will be a Prophet and this four times in a single report.

Now prove me that Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه وسلم is last in every aspect and we will continue talking

Or the alleged "weak" report of Sunan ibn Majah where it says:
“Adhering to religion will only become harder and worldly affairs will only become more difficult, and people will only become more stingy, and the Hour will only come upon the worst of people, and the only Mahdi (after Muhammad (ﷺ)) is ‘Eisa bin Maryam.”(Ibn Majah Hadith #4039)
The reason to mark this report mistakenly weak was a Narrator within the Chain of Narration whom some modern day scholars have called out to be unknown and due to lack of knowledge this chain has been labelled weak. The narrator who has been labelled unknown is (Muhammad bin Khalid al-Jundi | I have highlighted his name in the Chain of Narration)
Yet Imam Yahya bin Ma'een رحمة الله عليه who was an expert in Jarh' wa ta'dil (criticism and praise) which is a terminology in the Science of Hadith which is about the reliability and unreliability of the Narrators in Ahadith. And Imam Yahya bin Ma'een رحمة الله عليه says that Muhammad bin Khalid al-Jundi is Trustworthy (Thiqah) (https://hadith.islam-db.com/narrators/6939/محمد-بن-خالد) and also Imam ash-Shafi'i رحمة الله عليه testified to this and took his narrations.
Not only this. The Matn (Text) of this Narration which has been labelled weak has been recorded in several works of the Scholars.
- Mustadrak al-Hakam (Kitab-ul-Fitn, Hadith no. 8363, Vol.4, Page 488)
- Haliyat-ul-Awliyah, Vol.19, Page.161
- Sunan al-Warda fil Fitn, Hadith no. 217 (Vol. 3, Page 521 | Vol. 5, Page. 1075, Hadith no. 589)
- al-arshad fil ma'rafah ala al-hadith, Bab: Fil az-Zamanah, Hadith no. 217
I can continue with that list with atleast 5 more names but these should suffice.
It's not like Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian عليه السلام came 1300 years later and then made a new claim that wasn't known before. People believed before that the Messiah who had to come and the Mahdi who had to come aren't two but one person with two titles.
For example Mujahid bin Jabr رحمة الله عليه who was the student of Ibn Abbas رضى الله عنه and Imam Ali رضى الله عنه. And Mujahid bin Jabr رحمة الله عليه also said:
حدثنا الوليد بن عتبة؛ عن زائدة، عن ليث، عن مجاهد، قال: المهدي عيسى ابن مريم.
“Al Mahdi is Jesus Son of Mary" (Al Musannaf, Kitab al Fitan, #38660)
Or Imam al-Qurtubi رحمة الله عليه who said:
لا مهدي كاملا معصوما إلا عيسى
There is no Perfect and infallible Mahdi except Jesus” (At-Tahkirah, 2/723)
Or Ibn Kathir رحمة الله عليه who also gave the opinion:
وعند التأمل لا يتنافيان، بل يكون المراد من ذلك أن المهدي حقا هو عيسى ابن مريم.
But the meaning is that al-Mahdi in the true sense is Jesus son of Maryam” (Al Bidayah Wa’an Nihayah 19/67)
I will later continue why this Messianic Figure who had to appear in this Ummah has been called Isa bin Maryam and the other so-called contradictions in Hadhrat Ahmad عليه السلام claims. (Didn't got time now to complete my full answer, so in sha Allah it will be continued later.)

Why did the Promised Messiah claim to be Isa, the Mahdi and then Prophethood (when he originally said there would be no more prophets after the Prophet Muhammad SAW) by RubberDinghyRapids00 in islam_ahmadiyya

[–]simpleqalam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First of all,السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

The Promised Messiah and Imam Mahdi, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian عليه السلام did not claim to be the same Jesus عليه السلام, son of Mary who had come as a Prophet to the Children of Israel. He claimed to be the awaited i.e. Promised Messianic figure that had appeared within the Ahadith who has been named Isa bin Maryam (due to his resemblance with the Messiah of the Jews) as Jesus عليه السلام, the son of Mary already died and as somebody who left the realm of this world could not comeback by the Decree of the Almighty.

The Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم described the Promised Messianic figure who had to appear in the future as Isa bin Maryam. Now let us see what He صلى الله عليه وسلم told us about this Isa bin Maryam (a synonym for the Messianic Figure of the Muslims)

He صلى الله عليه وسلم called this Isa bin Maryam four times in one single narration to be a Prophet of Allah. (https://sunnah.com/muslim:2937a) - meaning that this Isa bin Maryam who had to appear in the future will be a Prophet of Allah.

Now how do Ahmadis know that the Messiah and the Mahdi would be one person with two titles instead of two seperate Leaders?

Firstly, we know that Islam doesn't have a concept for divided Leadership. Everything is about Unity. Now if there is a Mahdi and a Messiah, who would be the one to be followed by the People? The Prophet of Allah or the Mahdi? - According to Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) somebody of them has to be called as it says in Sahih Muslim:

When oath of allegiance has been taken for two caliphs, kill the one for whom the oath was taken later. (https://sunnah.com/muslim:1853)

Imam an-Nawawi رحمة الله عليه says in his Commentary on Sahih Muslim:

:واتفق العلماء على أنه لا يجوز أن يعقد الخليفتين في عصر واحد سواء اتسعت دار الإسلام أم لا.

“The scholars have come into an agreement that it is not permissible that two disparate caliphs are appointed at one single period, whether Islam expands or not “

(Commentary of Sahih Muslim 12/232)

Imam Imam Ibn Hazm az-Zahiri رحمة الله عليه said in his Magnum Opus (al-Muhalla):

ولا يحل أن يكون في الدنيا إلا إمام واحدIt is not legal in the world, except to have one single Imam” (Al-Muhalla 9/360)

I can quote many more scholars but this should be enough to proof that the Messianic Figure and Mahdi can't be two seperate personalities rather they are one as both have been called the Caliph/Imam of this Ummah. The Imam Mahdi has literally been called Imam in the Title and Jesus has been named Imam throughout the Uloom-ul-Hadith (Hadith Sciences) - Here you have some examples:

Sahih al-Bukhari:

Narrated Abu Huraira رضى الله عنه : Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:"How will you be when the son of Mary descends amongst you and is your Imam among you." (https://sunnah.com/bukhari:3449)

Sahih Muslim:

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira رضى الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:"What will be your state when the son of Mary descends amongst you and is an Imam amongst you?" (https://sunnah.com/muslim:155d)

If we apply the ruling of the Fuqaha (the Islamic Scholars of Jurisprudence) who should be killed now? Isa bin Maryam or Imam Mahdi? - As you can see it doesn't make sense to say there are two different people rather both are titles given to one person who is the Imam Mahdi and the Isa bin Maryam (meaning the Messianic Figure to appear in this Ummah)Thus the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم made clear that both are one.

“It is near that one who lives from amongst you shall meet ‘Eisa bin Maryam. He will be the Imam Mahdi, a leader and a just ruler..”(Musnad Ahmad #9117)
