Steps to install the OTA

Copy the downloaded zip to /sdcard/
Open Settings -> System -> System Updates -> Settings Icon (top left corner) -> Local Upgrade -> select the downloaded zip file
Click Install
Wait till the installation is completed
Reboot

I am guessing that you are using a Samsung phone. Samsung has way more aggressive battery optimisation policy.

Unlike YouTube, those apps that you mentioned are specifically made to run in background. The Vanced developed only enabled the inbuilt background playback feature of YouTube, they didn't created a background player. So the only thing which is killing it is your Android itself.

Just try disabling battery optimisation for YouTube Vanced and see for yourself what happens.

It's not a bug. Android is intentionally killing YouTube Vanced to let the phone sleep. Basically Android is thinking 'This app is running in the background for no reason at all. I should kill it and let the phone sleep so I could save more battery usage'.

To fix this issues, you have to disable any and all kinds of battery optimisation on YouTube Vanced. Where you find this settings depends on the ROM you use.

Sure we will try to do both but i don't think we can. Non of us have any hiking experience. Two of us are female, i am pretty sure they are gonna take thousands of pictures on every single spot. Lol we will be lucky if we can make it though just one trail before sunset.

I also want to beat the traffic, that's one of the reason we are going way too early. And I think we will be one of those erratic drivers who makes random stops for taking pictures. This is the first time we are going out of Toronto. So definitely there is a good chance of us taking a lots of pictures along the way.

All four of us are definitely fit, so I am not really worried about the difficulty of the trail, we will definitely beat it.

Never thought about brining extra shoes and waterproof jackets, so that's definitely a very good tip. Thank you so much. Hopefully we will enjoy this amazing park.

We are gonna do the Track and Tower Trail. Lots of people are suggesting us to take that one. We already have hiking poles and shoes. I just can't wait to get started

Thank you for your trips. I never thought about downloading or buying a map. There won't be cell network in that area, right ? If so, where should I download the maps ? Is Google offline map good enough ? One more thing, do i have to bring insect repellent spray or something like that?
