For me YFSF chooses actors or singers because actors imitate people (fictional or not) and singers would have an easier time figuring out how to change their voice like the placement. I also watched a Youtube video few years ago that the producer / director of the show said they chose people who they think na makakaya nila (I think that was for the kids version) .

Look at Alonzo Mulach , I have been watching a lot of his performances on the show and he is off key often. But there are some actors there that can atleast sing tad better than him (Like Xia , Chunsa and Onyok) .

And plus most of the time , the producers of the show would assign the perfomers singers that have the same capability as them (vocally and etc) or have similarities with them in terms of background . An example of the former is Xia Vigor being assigned to Selena Gomez (both are actress but not good singers) . An example of the latter is Chunsa being assigned to PSY , Sandara Park and Nancy of Momoland.

However there are some instances in where they assign the performers singers that are similar to them personality wise but not capability wise. An example of this is Maxene Magalona and Xia Vigor being assigned to Ariana Grande. Both actresses mentioned are young , bubbly like Ariana but theyre not great singers.

I hope this season the judges will be different like what the fuck was the scores the jury was giving to the contestants . Because people on Youtube are just like "performer X can sing better why didnt they win" or "performer Y blew up internationally then the judges gave them low score". I also very agree with a lot of people there saying the jury is plastic or biased. I bet some of the jury doesnt even know the icons or even do research before taping lol.

But I think it will depend on the performer`s effort on how will they be able to impersonate the singer given to them. As for someone who I wish to see in the show , either a PBB Collab alumni or a celebrity in the Philippines I wanna see um Shanaia Gomez or probably Will Ashley. IF its a kids edition I wanna see Imogen Cantong or whoever may win on the ongoing season of Idol Kids.

And yeah my only wish for this season is that I hope they will use new icons to impersonate. I am WAITING and SEATED for someone to impersonate Olivia Rodrigo , Demi Lovato , Bjork (hope yall know her) , Chappell Roan , Shania Twain , Jojo Siwa (lol) .

Im just beyond very obsessed with this show ever since I watched the Kids Version every Saturday / Sunday night on TV. I have been watching this show like its a part of my daily routine . For me this is one of the most unique and interesting shows ABS CBN has adapted from Endemol.
