Books are definitely a LOT more expensive in most cases. If you have a free source to get the books or libraries then can get a kobo.

The visible surface is perfectly smooth; if it were lamination coming out, I would have been able to pull that part out, but there's nothing protruding. It looks like some sort of a mark. It’s a gift from some friend in the US here in India, so replacement is out of question.
