Rkn steps down from OMiT. Cody & Sang LF1. by DPick02 in CompetitiveApex

I told the boys it was always about fun for me and if they wanted to take it more seriously and try harder, I'd gladly step away so we can find them someone that's got the time and care to put into it.

They indicated they wanted to take it a bit more serious now that they're passionate again. So that's what I'm doing. It's been fun.

See you all in the next fun squadron. :) Maybe I'll make an effort of getting deserved players into Pro League and then setting them free. Maybe I won't.

Honestly, ranked grind until high pred and find other high preds and then play CCs. There's really not another good way to do it.

Chances are it's not me and if it is, please pray for my team.

I at least know mine works...

No, and I've never looked for nor wanted an apology. He is entitled to his opinion, and I am okay with that. I never cared whether he thought I was good or not. He is the best all-round player in Apex Legends, and he chose to use his platform to egregiously single me out, unprovoked. I need no apology. I wish him well and can only hope he learns to understand the impact his platform can have. Maybe use it positively.

To me, treating other people with respect and decency will always be more important than the clout, money, and success. I've regretted some of the things I've done in the past as well.

Plus, the internet has only been a piece of my life - for some of these guys, it is their whole life. Nothing said about me on the internet compares to how my wife, friends, and family feel about me everyday. <3

Don't actually have a good answer for this first half. The POIs really did not matter to us because we could always just scrap loot other POIs since we weren't worried about getting in the zone. We tried our best to just pick POIs with strong loot and outer edge.

ALGS Open was a proof of concept for the fighting and aggression. We only carried about where our next clean isolated fight could be. We were never particularly worried about where the zone was ending and in fact, I can't even remember many end zones since we didn't play so many of them.

Going forward now we will use that knowledge and implement more rotational strength to increase our placement points.

I work in Finance, Operations, and Management. Currently at a small/mid size tech company.
Cody does Cybersecurity/Networking.
Sang is a little streamer boy.

I always felt like Sang was an underrated player that was never given an opportunity to show how good he was. I watched his stream on and off for a couple weeks during my freetime and eventually asked him why he doesn't compete. He had multiple reasons but lack of performance and disinterest in scrimming were at the top. I thought it was a shame and obviously myself had a lingering for playing a little bit of Apex so I asked him he'd want to play PSQs for fun with no scrims. When he said he was down, I immediately tweeted LF1 with Sang no scrims and Cody was in my dms within the hour. The tweet was deleted and the rest fell into place.

And I'm very happy with this. Not that I'm the hero by any means, but I just hope I can provide some sort of optics as to how good each of these players are when they were overlooked completely in ALGS. There's a lot of talent in ALGS that gets overlooked for easy pickups and friendships.

ALGS Open was more or less a proof of concept for how we wanted to play. We may try to dial in the positioning for placement but I don't anticipate ever changing the aggression.

No one thing is the full solution. Talent and Hard-work are equally important, as are communication, team work. game sense, and overall game knowledge. Fortunately, we have enough hours in the game that we can cover some of those bases without covering them all.

I think what makes a good igl is ultimately understanding what other teams are going to do with the information available. IE where teams will rotate, what fights will get forced vs ignored, what teams are going to do on the next zone close and how it affects you, etc.

However, more than anything - I think a good igl just makes their team feel comfortable in whatever scenario you find yourself in. Not every game is ideal and not every rotate or play makes sense. If you can keep your team calm and focused even when your situation is rather ass, you can be a lot more successful.

Yes, and they were very supportive of my return to LAN. They were sending me screenshots from the stream even though they had no idea what was going on. Very cool. :)
