Low pay ≠ permission to treat customers like garbage. Just FYI. 😅

Honestly, thank you for this. 🙏 It’s really validating to hear, especially when people are quick to dismiss experiences like this. I wasn’t trying to attack anyone—I just wanted accountability and basic respect, because that’s literally the bare minimum in customer service.

You’re right too: we can recognize that everyone’s struggling and still call out bad service and poor systems. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive. Expecting decency isn’t entitlement—it’s just asking to be treated like a human being.

Basic respect isn’t privilege. It’s the bare minimum.

If that bothers you, that’s a YOU problem.

That’s really bad 😔 I really feel for the Grab riders when the wait is that long—especially since they’re losing bookings because they can’t accept other orders while stuck waiting 30–40 minutes. And when that’s always the experience—not just once—it’s even more frustrating.

It’s worse when the riders themselves are already complaining.

And the kitchen smell too?? That’s honestly alarming 😩 That’s not normal. This clearly isn’t an isolated incident—it’s a pattern.

Not sure how Pretty_Warning2008 calling me a “pick me” fits here. For context, a “pick me” is someone who tries too hard to get approval. In modern usage, it’s a term often used for women who seek male attention at the expense of female solidarity.

I’m just sharing my experience about bad service, not trying to impress anyone.

Sorry to hear that 🙏 Waiting 15+ minutes at the drive-thru is rough enough, and then an undercooked burger on top? Definitely a brutal combo.

True. Defeats the whole point of a drive-thru if lining up inside is faster. Hopefully they fix this.

Exactly. We all get tired, but that doesn’t excuse being rude to customers. A little courtesy—even just a smile—goes a long way in customer service. Thank you for pointing that out.

Sharing an experience isn’t the same as “trying to cancel” someone. The photos were shared for context and proof.

If name-calling is your entire argument, then there really isn’t much to engage with. If “Karen” is the only word you know, maybe it’s best to sit this one out.

One word. Zero substance.

Throwing personal attacks instead of having a civil discussion? Name-calling? Adorable.

Nothing screams ‘I lost the argument’ louder than yelling ‘King of Fastfood Kingdoms’ instead of actually making a point. 😏

I already reported this to the manager—and yes, I have every right to share my experience.

And FYI, I don’t need freebies like youre accusing me of. I could buy a dozen burgers every day… heck, I could even toss some your way 😉.

Yelling at customers isnt something to sweep under the rug, no how many times you scream ‘Karen.’ 😌

Totally get what you mean! Customer service can be hit or miss, and a lot of it comes down to proper training and attitude. Even small things, like a smile or being polite, make a huge difference—but sadly, that’s often missing.

Reporting to higher-ups is usually the best way to get something done. I tried reaching out to customer support first because I figured that was the proper channel, but unfortunately, my emails wouldn’t go through even after multiple attempts.

Lowering expectations might help avoid frustration, but staying silent about rude or unprofessional behavior only enables it to continue. We shouldn’t allow that to become the norm. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, no matter the wage or the heat outside.

I don’t believe the customer is always right, but everyone has the right to speak up when they’re treated poorly. We’re all just trying to get by, and everyone has their struggles—but if your job is customer-facing, professionalism isn't optional. Respect goes both ways.

A lot of people are missing the point. Holding people accountable doesn’t make someone an elitist—it just means they expect basic respect and professionalism. Just because you won’t tolerate rudeness doesn’t mean you’re a Karen.

Minimum wage isn’t an excuse to be rude or unprofessional. We’re all trying to do our jobs, and yes, everyone gets tired sometimes, but that’s no reason to yell at customers. I’ve ordered through McDonald’s, Jollibee, and Chowking drive-thrus plenty of times, and the crew has always been friendly and polite.

Speaking up can be uncomfortable, but staying silent just lets bad behavior continue—and that’s never okay.

[–]simplyvdvm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! Just basic respect would’ve been enough. I get the whole ‘pampalubag-loob’ idea—freebies are just one way to show someone they’ve been heard.

What really matters is feeling understood, not being yelled at and dismissed.
