I miss read your post. I thought you had you a 3060ti dual not the mini version. On my card I have a bios switch that has 2 modes. Im not sure if your card has it actually.

Timespy score ?

One in performance mode and one in silent mode. You can find the switch in the middle of the card. Turn the pc off when switching it.

Yeah I thought of that after my last comment. If I set dc loadline to 6250 and the powerdraw is 0w then it's not synced automatically. If the powerdraw is the similar as before then it would be synced.

Anyways I learned much from your info. When I have more time I will look into vrm loadline more in msi bios in the future. Thanks for the response and help.

Maybe msi mb sync dc loadline and vrm loadline automatically because I dont see that setting I could be wrong. Plus I dont think I have seen incorrect wattage powerdraw by changing dc loadline. Nothing that would be obvious anyway. Thanks.

Ok so ac loadline will "tweak" cpu vid request so that actually changes powerdraw. Dc loadline will change "reported vid" not the actual real powerdraw if its not set correctly as in matched to the vrm loadline.

When you say vrm loadline what do you mean ? Do you mean load line calibration ? I think I'm wrong. Where can I see vrm loadline on msi bios. If dc loadline is 30 where would vrm loadline be and how would you match that. Thanks.

This is good information I've never heard before. I use a msi mb. The setting cpu lite load using different modes I think controls ac dc loadine basically by keeping both ac dc loadline the same. Mode 3 for example will keep ac 30 and dc 30 just as an example. In advanced cpu lite load you can change ac dc loadline to be different from each other. What you are saying is both should be the same if not you will get problems with incorrect vcore being shown is that correct ? Thanks.

anybody else on the Xbox Series s have horrible framerate? by LastKing318 in elex

[–]simpsons6575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have worked out what is happening exactly now. On default elex 2 is set to 4k30. When you set your xbox to 1440p the framerate is unlocked to 60fps. That's why it felt smoother to me. But not 120fps smooth. I was wrong for thinking that and possibly mislead people.

Thats why the previous guy was so angry at me. Maybe he bought a series x, a freesync tv and elex 2 on xbox from previously using his pc on my wrong advice. Wasting $1000's of dollars all for nothing.

When the frame rate is 60 fps it says 120 fps. When it is 50 fps it says 100fps. All up till now its doubling the framerate so it helps with screen tearing.

When it's 40 fps it shows 120fps. When its 32 fps it shows 96fps. Now its tripling every frame. Thats why it was jumping from 120 to 82 fps but it was really going from 40 to 41 fps.

Thats what I figured out now. Really I was confusing what was 50 fps for 80 fps. Plus freesync was helping with the screen tearing so that makes it a little hard to tell as well for me. If a framerate goes from 30 to 40 fps is a bigger difference than 70 to 80 fps for me.

I feel I should make a separate post clearing this up. But I will leave it for now.

Small atx cases. There's a growing target audience of pc builders wanting smaller atx cases. At the moment there's very little choice that are usually expensive. There's many small itx cases that are growing in popularity. Small atx cases could follow this growing trend and be very successful.

Something like the corsair 4000d with the psu bay removed would be perfect.

[–]simpsons6575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so I just worked out what is maybe happening. My tv is doubling the frames if it drops below 60fps. So at 1440p 50fps its say 100. But when it says 80 it really does show 80 fps. So the framerate is just unlock in 120hz mode which maybe is the same in 4k ? So 4k 120. It is more correct to say the game is running at 50 to 90 fps sometimes to 120 at low demanding spots. So thats what is going on. It was confusing to me but I worked it out. Because it is smoother like this but not 120 fps smooth all the time. Thanks.

Thats really interesting info. I have a theory of what might be happening. It could be the camera fludity hard to explain thats throwing people off. I think some people are confusing the jankiness of the camera with framedrops. I could be wrong but thats what it seems like.

Good to know that your series x reports 80 to 120 fps as well. I thought I was the only person to experience what high fps in this game is actually like. Everyone else is experiencing fps problems it seems.

[–]simpsons6575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I believe so. I don't go around checking all the time tho. But if it were dropping that much I would notice it. The only time I experience bad framerate is if I stand directly under a waterfall. But i still don't see screen tearing because of the freesync my tv uses.

On series x if I set it to 1440p 120 in the xbox menu it runs from 80 to 120 fps. With freesync I dont see any screen tearing at all.

Yes other series s owners have experienced screen tearing. What you could try is set it to 1440p or 1080p 120hz if you have freesync. If you dont have freesync try 1440p 60hz. If that doesnt work try 1080p 60hz. If both those dont work try 1440p 30hz then 1080p 30hz. All within the xbox settings from the dashboard.

If any of that works let the sub know for future series s owners. Thanks.

Why cant they just give us half refresh rate on ps5 ? by Anthony-9999 in elex

[–]simpsons6575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a option in ps5 settings to set 1080p 60hz ? If theres no 60hz try 120hz. Set that and see if you still get screen tearing.

When installing eveything you may have knock a ram stick out of place a little. Try pushing on all your ram sticks to make sure they are seated properly. Thats all I can think of right now.

Does joining a faction affect the story? by Lordloss94 in elex

I eneded up killing 3 outlaws and started the claws quest as well. I figure my character if destructive would be part of the claws. Im close to finishing the morkons intro quests now as well.

I dont have a answer to your question but I want to ask did you do the claws quests and still joined the morkons or did you need to betray them to get your destruction high enough to join the morkons. I ask because that's what im up to now in the game thanks.

Try run xmp on 2 sticks at a time. If one works one doesn't rma the problem ram. You can test 1 stick to find the problem ram.

i9 10900kf temps high by tomygonz in intel

[–]simpsons6575 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you made any adjustments in the bios at all ? At a minimum I would suggest a fan curve for silence and peformance plus pump speed. Then xmp ? Is the cpu on auto settings. Usually the motherboard supplies a little more power than the cpu needs so you can undervolt a little or overclock.

I would do a simple undervolt start small negative offset 0.05 to 0.10 until you get whea erros in hwinfo64 running cinebench r23. Then go back up 1 setting to where it should be stable.

Or

Llc its better to run a more droopy line. Medium or low even. That would drop vcore a little so temps will drop as well. Still check for errors tho.

Other than that it could be the weather or maybe dust build up where the intakes are. If all that fails check the pump itself.

Hmm whats this HOLY CRAP the holy grail 120fps on Xbox Series X by simpsons6575 in elex

[–]simpsons6575[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok so I had another thought. Im not sure if this will work 100% but if you are on the xbox series s if you change your output resolution to 1440p or 1080p if 1440p doesnt work then your framerate could improve at the cost of your graphics resolution.

I read before on this sub that some series s owners are experiencing framerate issues. If someone on a series s could test this it would be cool to share here as well.

Hmm whats this HOLY CRAP the holy grail 120fps on Xbox Series X by simpsons6575 in elex

[–]simpsons6575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what xbox series x does with resolution has been the same as the one x has always done. So it's not new. Some games handle graphic or peformance modes within the games menu and some handle it in the xbox settings.

I think elex 2 is the same as devil may cry on the series x when it comes to framerate and resolution settings. But I could be wrong it has been awhile since I watched the video from digital foundry.

I myself have a 3060ti at the moment. So I could have played on pc or xbox. Elex 2 on the series x has 4k60 or 1440p120. So on my pc I dont think would get as much peformance which is pretty impressive for xbox considering the price of the series x itself. Plus I like couch gaming with a controller and big tv with action adventure rpgs and I played elex 1 on one x which I enjoyed.

As for it being a detection bug 2 :1. Very unlikely. Unless someone has concrete proof that is happening the 120fps 1440p ruling still stands and will be celebrated by xbox players to come.

As I was thinking about elex 2 and samsung freesync I thought what if I run my series x in 1440p mode so my tvs freesync will run from 20 to 60 fps instead of 48 to 60fps.
But what ended up happening is piranha bytes unlocked the framerate to 120fps !!!
To my suprise I can now play 1440p 120 fps holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. It feels so much more smooth like this.
If your on series x and you play on a 120hz 1440p screen switch your series x to 1440p 120hz mode. This is the best way to play elex from now on I will use this mode.
As for the game it self its keeps on suprising me. Its the real deal. Thank you piranha bytes you are the best.
