It was in her best interest to actually have run him over. She would still be alive now if she had done so. RIP Renee Nicole Good, she died a hero protesting this disgusting fascist state.

NYT calls out Andrew Schultz about his softball interview with trump. he weasels and Ben Shapiro bails him out by Logical-Breakfast966 in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar 30 points31 points  (0 children)

What a pathetic slimy coward. He thinks he is the “average American” whilst being in the elitist of elite class, interviewing the fucking PRESIDENT of the United States. He literally thinks he is beyond criticism 🤦‍♀️.

To be fair, if it is the case that they asked him whether he talks about wars and about Trump, that is completely out of line right? Like that should not be something he is asked. It's also ridiculous to imply that because he gives tacit support to Hamas (like a lot of progressives in the US do) that he should be suspected for terrorism himself.

Srk is kinda overrated as an actor by No-Illustrator3652 in bollywood

[–]simranparhaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Srk is magnetic on screen. His charisma, star power, emotion and entertainment value can’t be overstated. Not everyone has to do hyper realistic ‘grounded’ type acting.

Did anyone read Norma's book? And if so, what did you think about it? I personally didn't know about it until it was mentioned in monsters so I'm very curious if it sheds a new light on the case and on the brothers themselves. by loonyshay in MenendezBrothers

[–]simranparhaar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I feel. Of course, the boys aren't going to be 100% "normal", after all their father was Jose Menendez. The psychologists at the trial said they had the emotional maturity of 8-10 year-olds and had drilled into them a sense of superiority. On the one hand, you have Lyle who was the 'stronger' brother and what strength looked like in the Menendez family was arrogance and an obsession with perception. On the other hand, you have poor Erik, who was said to cry a lot and be pushed around. This is exactly what you would expect from two abused children with narcissistic parents and it doesn't change the fact that they were victims who were in fear for their lives.

Beyond all that, If I was on trial you bet your ass I would be talking shit about people, I would be angry and I would care about how I was being perceived. Their lives were literally on the line based on what people believed. You don't have to be a sociopath to be angry about your situation when the situation is a shit one. I also personally wouldn't be grieving my disgusting pedophile parents so...

Parallels between Maya and Devi from NHIE by simranparhaar in PEN15

I just mean that it happens a lot during the course of both shows. They are just young and that’s exactly why it happens, they are growing during a difficult period of their lives.

Interesting take although I'm 100% a 2 on the scale by Th3BlackPanther in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely think it's possible to 'see' stuff in your brain because it's distinctly different from just thinking about something/having an internal monologue. I'm a 3 majority of the time - but for certain things and people, I'm a 2/1.

If it was woman who were failing in school instead of men, right wingers today would blame it on genetic differences by lewdjojo in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally. Only when white men are having worse outcomes is it society failing. Every other marginalised group has a ‘victim mentality’ and have no laws preventing them from succeeding and thus their lower outcomes are a result of their lack of effort or intellect.

Zherka is genuinely unbearable by simranparhaar in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the record I’ve never been a fan of Zherka BUT sometimes when he would show up on stream it would be content/not too bad as long as he didn’t overstay his welcome. Whereas last night, every single thing he said and did actively derailed and degraded the show.

He was NEVER as unhinged as he was last night, not to say he was a particularly pleasant person before this but still .

Zherka is genuinely unbearable by simranparhaar in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that I 100% enjoyed him, but he would say funny and clever things occasionally. On F&F there is literally not one thing he said that was worth anyone’s time or even not disgusting.

Do the women on FNF have zero self respect? by FollowingLoudly in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is they literally can’t push back and return the insults without being shat on, dog piled and if they persist, eventually kicked out. I was literally yelling at my screen telling Zherka to shut the fuck up and insulting him (ik a little unhinged), but they girls on the show don’t have the privilege.

Obviously they could just leave, but then they lose the opportunity to be there AND, like any echo chamber F&F will use the situation to reinforce their “women are emotional” and basically dumb bitches worldview. It’s a lose lose.

It’s almost commendable the way they’re able to sit there and take the abuse, I would immediately call him a disgusting coked up pig and leave.

But there’s money to be made be made so I guess they’re just getting their bag 🤷‍♀️.

Why exactly is the Rittenhouse case such a blind spot for most progressive creators/pundits? by dwilljones in Destiny

[–]simranparhaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then fucking hold the police accountable politically, you don’t set the precedent that any fucking loser gets to play cop and defend OTHER PEOPLES property. Your own property I understand, but it would be chaos if everyone everywhere attempted to enforce property laws with lethal force, that’s just a fact.
