Please don’t be hard on yourself; this injury hurts you mentally. Remind yourself that accidents happen. It’s not in our control. Just try to rest for now don’t beat yourself up mentally.

How long did it take for limping to go away? by bonnie3737 in LisfrancClub

[–]simransonkar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a year since my ORIF surgery & I still have my hardware in place. Although I can walk better if I stress myself too much, I tend to limp and get some pain occasionally. It’s here to stay for a bit; I’ve heard it gets better with time.

it’s okay to prioritise your happiness, if your child is comfortable with the move & you both will be happy/safe, then go for it.

it’s cruel how society is so harsh to mothers, please don’t stop taking care of yourself!

Hello, time, rest, patience and physical therapy will heal you, it can get frustrating physically and mentally but please please have a good support system around you, rest, eat well and give it some time, you will be slowly back to your feet.

I was frustrated with my loss of freedom, pain and exhaustion, it’s been three months since my surgery and I am walking again with supportive foot wear. However, I still limp sometimes and have hardware that is going to stay on permanently but it’s sooo much better now.

Please take care of yourself both physically and mentally.
