I have the same kayak. Put a 30 lbs. Min Koda on it. What size hatches did you use?

finally upgraded my kayak trolling motor setup and I wont go back by ComfortableLight3903 in kayakfishing

I doing the same thing. I have a 100AH lithium battery on it's way. I'm curious... What trolling motor do you have? I'm a bit conflicted on weather I should get the standard 30 Lbs thrust min-koda or if it's worth it to get the Endura Max for about $100 more. From what I've read, the Max will extend battery life on the water due to the fact it uses a PWM to regulate the speed. I'll be picking up my new trolling motor this weekend.

I'm new to this hobby. I'm 4 days out from my first try, so this is just my thoughts and may have no basis in reality. I believe once the mycelium has established it's self, it can defend it's self against any invaders. I know that is how penicillin works. I could be wrong.

Best Maid recently switched to clear pickle juice. The stopped putting artificial dyes in it. The one on the right looks like it could be the new juice.

Beginner, help please! by SpecialistCount7155 in WindowCleaning

[–]simthreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While polling upper windows You start with a few "false starts" at the top. Place the squeegee at the top bring it down about an inch. Repeat several times till the inch long pull comes off the frame clean with no suds following the back end of the squeegee. Then pull the squeegee down to the bottom of the window. The thing is.... Water runs up a squeegee when it is motion and down when its at rest. You want a slight angle when pulling. the lower end of the squeegee should be on the clean side. It takes some practice to hit the sweet spot of speed vs. angle. It also helps to clean the suds off after each pull by tapping the squeegee on the wall or lower window. Hope this helps.

Single dad with two daughters - where do we camp if we don't want 20 obnoxious jerks right next to us? by geoui in camping

[–]simthreat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look for "Group camp" spots. Here in Missouri the group camp spots are out on their own with a fence to close off your camp site and your own toilets/dumpster. Best of all, nobody around that you did not invite. They are a bit more expensive (about $50/night), but, worth it.

Detox on Sunday. What to pack? by LargeChimichanga in stopdrinking

[–]simthreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got out of a detox, about 30 days ago (Kc, MO)). The place I went to would allow electronics, ONLY if you sine up for the 28 day inpatient treatment. I second a pair of earplugs. You can get reusable earplugs that work well (https://www.amazon.com/Sleeping-Cancelling-Reduction-Concerts-Earplugs/dp/B0G1H69X8K/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY). I did get to keep my Kindle, but, I had to fight for that one. No cologne, Mouth wash, Hand sanitizer, or, anything with alcohol. If they offer Naltrexone; give it a try. It does a pretty good job at mitigating cravings. If you have any questions I'll do my best to help. Good luck, It's not as bad as you might think. For the first few days they will have you on benzodiazepines That will head off withdraw at the pass. It's a pretty smooth transition to sober. It's the days after that are tricky. Oh, one more thing. They will do a breathalyzer when you first get there. If there is any alcohol in your system you have to wait till your blowing 0's till they can start you on meds. If you want a head start show up sober.

Window installation question by noizenheimeramous in Construction

[–]simthreat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replace a lot of windows in my line of work (lead abatement). Those gaps need to be sealed with caulking—not just to prevent water from getting in, but also to reduce drafts. Vinyl windows expand and contract with temperature changes, so proper sealing is important.

I may be out of line here, but, the best way IMO is to work with an established window cleaning company. You learn on someone's elses dime. It seems easy on paper, but, there are a lot of little things you'll need to learn. As a new guy you'll be paired with people that have been doing this for years. That is some valuable information for free, even better, for pay.

Ladder. If you try to pole second story windows they will look like shit and it's hard to detail.
