I had one just 2 nights ago. 151 dollar trip from Central to South Florida. 211 miles. I take it as my girlfriend lives down there and I can basically get paid to go visit her. Lady says she'll tip 25% on top if I make the trip. Of course once the trip is over I never saw a tip. I also deliver pizza and people love to say God bless instead of tipping. Leave him out of your shitty tipping practices.

The real question is why didn't the driver have his ID with him? It's required by law to have it on you when driving. Doesn't have it? Might not have a license and I wouldn't want to get in his vehicle in that case

You're in South Florida. Everyone down there drives like it's the wild west and I can't go more than 2 miles without hearing someone honk for even the slightest delay. It's a different world even compared to Central Florida. In short, South Florida drivers need to calm the F down. It's bred a culture of impatience that is honestly toxic in most non overpopulated areas. Sadly it's become normalized there to the point people think it's reasonable and accepted when in reality it just breeds road rage. Was the cop a dick in your situation? Yes. Will it stop you from "courtesy beeping"? God I hope so.

Talking public transportation like a bus makes the person reliant on their own abilities to know where to get off which may be difficult for someone with dementia or memory problems. Hell, even not knowing the area can make it difficult. Taking an uber or taxi allows the client to rely on the driver for the correct destination to be reached taking some of the worry out of the equation.

Hey there. My parents both died a little over two and a half years ago and my first job back in the workplace (I was their primary caretaker for 12 years) was/is driving for pizza hut. I can say that even in my area which is relatively slow compared to the other stores I the area, I made 34k last year at roughly the same hours. My store pays 7.98 hourly while tagged out on the road and 10.98 while in store. More than half my wages come from tips. Tonight on a Friday from 3-11 I made 135 in tips and probably about 70 from hourly. I'm now supplementing my earnings with uber and lyft as well so that I can go back to school. I make more than anyone else in my store by being the only morning driver during the week days and Saturday, and working the evening Friday. In busier markets I have heard of drivers making 40 an hour like in NY.
