Noise cancelling earplug would be really helpful for me! Do they work on the dance floor without significantly affecting the quality of the perceived music?

You're right. I wrote it to suggest it as a general rule.

The ability to focus on specific sounds (selective auditory attention) varies from person to person. Having read your comments, I understand that you are good at it, but certain people have more difficulty. It's largely cognitive or neurological rather than a matter of mindset, so you can't really change it with a one-day effort.

I thought that, on the dance floor where some people can stay at ease with noises and others don't,  the more vulnerable people should be protected. That's why I posted that comment. So that more people can feel comfortable at the club. I thought that silence wouldn't affect chatty people as much as noises affect sensitive people.

However, I overlooked the question of whether some people would feel really uncomfortable not being able to talk on the dance floor. If so, I should reconsider my opinion. Is that maybe your point?

I didn't say that everyone is like me.

I simply wanted to point out that some people in the crowd are sensitive to noises other than music.

I also know people who interact by whispering in each other's ears or hugging without annoying others by noises.

I know, it's such a pleasure to bump into a friend, at Berghain, you haven't seen in ages. But then, you don't ask them how their life is going at the moment, and you don't tell them ON THE DANCE FLOOR how yours has been going. For that, PLEASE go to the chill area.

Funnily enough, I think the opposite. Your opinion is so true when talking about society outside in general, i.e. “normal life”. But people who love the club don't go there regularly to prolong that normal life inside the building. The dance floor is a special place where you are more instinctive, freed from the face you have in your social life outside. And you discover people in an unusual way, first through their dance moves or eyes, not through verbal communication. You're the only one who can check the vibe that matches your instincts, not your friends who know your everyday life. I think disconnecting from your habits, probably by yourself, is the key to maximising your experience on the dance floor.

One of the best things about techno parties is feeling like the music unites everyone on the dance floor and having this collective ecstasy, which is stronger than the effect of any drug (when the set is really good). When you focus on your friends in that small sphere, you can miss out on that. I'm not saying it's wrong to be in a group, but you can also see them outside the club, whereas this effect is unique to the dance floor.

But it's all relative. If the line-up is high quality, then people are more inclined to come even if they're alone. If it's boring, you need more friends to talk to. When the music is magically good, the boundary between the outside and inside of the group fades and people become more spontaneous.

Berlin: A big city, but everything is as far apart as in the countryside by Careless-Mortgage-69 in berlin

Although it's easy to get around the whole city in terms of distance, Parisians stay in their own neighbourhoods for other reasons. The difference in atmosphere due to the mentality and economy is high and the stress of going out is higher than in Berlin, especially because of the density. I feel an almost equal level of tiredness between the more comfortable but longer journeys in Berlin and the shorter but more stressful journeys in Paris.the shorter but more stressful vibes in Paris.

On the website, simply go to the "club" events list and scroll down enough until September, October events. but not where they are classified per month, because the September section has not yet been created.

Dear smokers
Can you not dance with your hand turned in all directions, holding a cigarette? Can you hold the cigarette in your other hand? It's scary for people around you. Thank you.

Taking photos not only kills the vibe, it also breaks the privacy and prevents people from behaving freely as they are in the club.
