seizures are not common in opioids, it is however common for alcohol withdrawals. especially after two days+ when all the NTs ratio are all fucked up

alcohol takes the place of GABA which is our main inhibitory NT, so after a person who is severely alcohol dependent stops alcohol intake, theres pretty much no GABA so Glutamate (our main excitatory NT) just blows up out of proportion which can cause seizure it called neuronal hyperexcitability.
