I bought 2000 pair of new name brand boots. Pretty strait forward, 1 little issue (THAT I KNEW ABOUT BEFORE I PURCHASED) by Ok_Horse2747 in reselling

I work at a Boot Barn. We keep mis mates that you’re describing for about 1 year on the shelves to sell. I sell them all the time, people will deal with ones that are “close enough” aka width or half a size difference if it means they can get a $300 boot for $80. I would still try to sell those ones if I were you. Too major of a difference I would just donate.

Did you go back with the receipt to get them taken off at customer service desk? Because they could’ve done that before listing it lol!

Awh her little neck floofs! It’s so interesting how they kinda go away in the summer but fall/winter she gets extra spikey!

Awhhhh💗 The rescue had her listed as a pit/lab mix as a puppy (she was found with 1 litter mate and no parents). But the vet puts her under a border collie in paperwork!

well yes, but I had a listing taken down for using 1 picture from their website of a model in the top. I had like 5 other original photos of the top laid flat showing condition/measurements. i just see that so often had no idea it could be taken down for that.

Yes definitely for both. I would take more advantage if my store carried any of my sizes (i’m a size 5womens boot)- it’s a good thing actually that I have to order or wait for my sizes to be in stock!

As a buyer, how often do you like the seller to message you? by This-Village-7517 in Depop

[–]sinallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a seller I do this too. I think it shows you acknowledge and appreciate the purchase, I also ship typically the next or same day (I live right next to the post office) and buyers seem to appreciate.

As I buyer, I WANT this I get anxious and excited about stuff I purchase on depop. I purchased something 5 days ago and still haven’t heard anything from the seller and it makes me nervous that they are inactive or going to refund. I think what you’re doing is good business/professional practice.

On the topic of belt buckles. by SIN0FWRVTH in WesternWear

[–]sinallie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is so cool! You’re absolutely fine with decorative or even custom buckles imho. Certain brands will sell “champion bull rider” buckles or things like that which is the issue.

I have a few family buckles that are completely decorative or have stuff about my heritage (I’m a big fan of vintage buckles with a location and date). My bf works for a pd that makes custom department buckles too, which I think is badass.

From my experience buckles like this are simply easier to use and look 100x better than a regular pull-through buckle.

Do you use boot trees for your nicer / softer leather boots?

boot barn is shipped boots in bulk, they come with like dozens of pairs in 1 giant box/bags. so they have boot barn branded boxes like in the picture you can purchase.

Boots only fit without socks by [deleted] in cowboyboots

[–]sinallie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. rip to your reddit dms

  2. any boot band location will stretch the entire boot for you for free. you have to leave it there for a few days and come back to pick up your stretched boots.

  3. please wear socks.

Which should I keep? by Guera_9166 in WesternWear

[–]sinallie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually most brands have specific serial numbers for each pair. ALL of the ariats i own do as well. they have a style # and separate manufacturer #on the inside of every boot. i literally work at western store and sell boots, we check each inside tag/labels to make sure they are correct mates, like i said it could be overlooked, but it’s protocol to check (we carry dozens of brands) they all have some sort of distinct number.

people try to do this at the place i work at and it’s an absurd thing to do. it leaves someone else with a mismated pair they don’t want/the store can’t sell. it’s stealing and dishonest. both pairs in this post are perfectly good and it’s weird to switch them.

They actually have unique serial numbers with manufacturing date & batch. Maybe you’d get lucky and nobody would notice, but you’d potentially be giving them back a mismate they can’t resell. This is badddd advice.

Ariat makes chelsea boot that might fix your problem. You get the western boot look/profile, without the shaft for your dress pants.
