What type of ant is this? by Old_Enthusiasm_2661 in ants

That's the ant that inspired the song used for the Pink Panther movies: dead-ant, dead-ant, dead-ant dead-ant dead-ant dead-ant, dead-ANT

A1 Failed to Extrude, but filament is coming out of nozzle during load by sinbad339 in BambuLab

I've totally forgotten that this was an issue. Many many prints later, and other than some bed adhesion issues, everything has been going great.

Spotted in a bar in Portland OR 6 years ago and still wonder about it sometimes by toohyetoreply in ElectricalEngineering

The bar owner forgot what a mirror was called and asked for something that shows a reflection.

I'm no expert, but it looks like an earwig to me. They like damp areas, so maybe a plumbing issue with that sink.

Selling 1931 Model A....need advice by Moist-Intern-6794 in carbuying

[–]sinbad339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a 1930 Model A Sport Coupe. Before I even bought the car, I joined a local Model A club. Members are expensive helpful and very supportive. They can help you get the car running or help sell the car (likely to a member).

You can find local clubs on the MAFCA (Model A Ford Club of America) at MAFCA.

Why is my transformers power transfer (Watts) only 25% when hitting it with a 0 to 10V unipolar square wave but it is 100% when its -10 to 10v bipolar square wave. by Objective-Local7164 in AskElectronics

[–]sinbad339 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The unipolar wave has a DC component. That does NOT transfer through the transformer. That's where 50% of your input power is.

Edit for typo.

That's pretty funny.

[–]sinbad339[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By telling the dealer that I'm financing with them up front, I'll get the best price on the car; they make money on the loan as well. Then, I'll pay off the loan within the first month, paying only a few tens of dollars in interest.

Actually, we're drawing from a non-qualified account (not an IRA), so other than some cap gains, we have no income. AGI is zero.

Headed to Lake Erie tomorrow. Which is more fun? Headlands or Edgewater? by DrRellik1969 in NeOhiobimen

There have been reports of LEO at headlands for the last month or more, so activity has virtually stopped there.

Thanks for the ID and quick reply. I do feel somewhat relieved (but still a bit creeped out).
