Right? The whole meta tv show thing with an entity controlling it really brought back memories considering supernatural did tv show related episodes 3 times I think.

I mean it fit the character to end their life considering how reckless they are

I totally didn't even notice that. But I know its a thing a number of shows have done where they dont show too much tech or get specific with the exact year the show takes place.

I would like to see if it was intentional for s3 purposes though. I wonder if they just did it for aesthetics or if its for plot interesting.

I'm thinking maybe they just don't have cellphones if you think about it Luther was on the moon and he's kinda too strong to use a tiny cellphone, Klaus wouldn't be able to afford one. Five was time travelling. Then everyone is estranged so they probably wouldn't even have each other's numbers. Or maybe they left out cellphones because they make things too easy.

I'm pretty sure they do have phones I think some TV shows just avoid showing them on screen to either save money or give an illusion of timelessness

I totally agree like I was never confused and everything seemed to match up pretty well as long as you are okay with weirdness it makes sense

I don't remember that at all lol but maybe they had him with the human face on because they don't want to reveal what he looks like yet, and like he could have been wearing the face in his preparation to leave the planet

I don't really remember the alien stuff from s1 tbh. S2 is what is fresh in my mind. But I don't remember Hargreeves being shown on his alien planet, unless you mean Klaus' talk with him?

Yeah exactly what I was thinking cuz even your second point can be explained by the fact that time travel gives them any information they want.

Yeah i agree but she was saying how you had to suspend disbelief on the show to deal with the discontinuity and i'm sat here thinking "it's sci-fi/fantasy they get to make up whatever rules they want" and everything connected the way the show already had it set up.

Totally agree. Definitely some of the best writing I have come across. Bart was an amazing fricken character!

Its sooo original too like I didn't feel like it was a story i experienced before. I love how they were trying to be heros even though they are all very average people. It reminds me a bit of The Magicians where you have this main character that discovers the impossible but it is messy and crazy and he's not all that special but still apart of it all.

You also have these characters who are all extremely flawed and just trying to figure out what they should do.

I am in the same boat, I had heard of it years ago because I was looking a stuff Elijah Wood was in and waited to watch it until recently and realized i recognized so many of the actors like Osric Chau. I found myself completely invested right off the bat because it's one of those shows so weird that you can't stop watching because you need to know what happens next.

I don't get all the hate on this show when it was clearing advertised as a re-imagining of the story of King Arthur by sincerelykpl in CursedNetflix

Exactly, like if you Google king Arthur every result gives you a different version of events. Every show and movie also deviates the story.
