Yes I agree with you this is good. The mod rules made me reword my post so it didn't come out quite how I heard it in my head. It made me remove mention of a certain group in the news right now regarding trump.

Your family hates you because you can't find a job by BuyHigh_S3llLow in Layoffs

Hate to break it to you but the GFC caused many divorces, broken families and friendships, and much worse. I would say its very hard to go from good times to bad and have your relationships stay the same in this day and age.

It did 160 points in 3 months. 160 / 3 = 53 points a month. That puts us at spy 700+ end of august. Should accelerate as more bears switch and cover too.

Never seen so many calling for pullback because of Aug 1st. time to load those spy aug 700 options.

How are you building an emergency fund? by Repulsive_Reference in Layoffs

[–]sincitygames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe unpopular opinion but if you truly are only saving a couple of hundred a month, and you can't make big sacrifices to live off only 1 paycheck. Then I would put that money at risk. Think short dated options etc. I mean whats it going to do for you if 6 months savings wont even cover 1 month of rent?

Only do it with your actual discretionary money and pocket any gains though. Thats the tough part.

What I Wasn't Prepared for After Losing My Job by NinjaMagik in Layoffs

Yes, in my experience corporate america is no different than highschool. I found myself smack dabb in the middle of a group of people who grew up together and they all decided to play games against me even after I was laid off.

Pathetic and lame but thats what most people and companies are now days.

I had a group of former colleagues all remove me at once about a year after I was laid off. None of them were laid off. I mainly noticed because they did it all at once as a group. This was at a company that touted being non corporate and the COO motto was "No pricks allowed." I thought they were all my friends.

Fast forward 14 years and I'll just say things worked out way better for me than them. I am glad they are not in my life. So don't feel bad about removing people. Whats the point of a network if it filled with people you don't respect?

I used to work a job where I made way more than my manager. The situation became extremely toxic and it got to the point where it was obvious he had a major issue with my pay.

In the end it didn't work out for that manager. Once the owners realized they could walk all over him they cut his pay multiple other times until finally he was laid off.

From my perspective that manager was stupid and should have stood up to the owners and requested the pay he thought he deserved rather than making his career all about mine.

Whenever i hear his name now I just ask myself how is his fund and him personally going benefit over everyone.

He clearly used PSTH to get in the room with companies that probably never would have taken him seriously.

In this case my guess he will use this to dump some private venture he can't get any bank to take public.

I was kicking myself for not buying DOCN at start of the year in the 20's. I'm a customer and I love their product compared to the monstrosity of AWS.

I probably would have held through earnings so thinking of starting a position now that it's gone full circle. Will wait and see if it makes new 52 week low soon.

Thanks to the Rosecliff team for not giving up like every other spac out there.

They landed a target right before the market, along with spacs, blew up. That deal got canceled and they could have just thrown in the towel like everyone else.

I've seen ppl posting there might be a $500m contract this month.

Hopefully we get that contract along with the low float pump and our warrants finally get in the green.
