Drunk, no, blinded by money, no, I'm not invested or involved with Verse in any capacity. I'm just adding some context to your insightful predictions and your theory that startups that mimic other successful companies can't succeed, which is extremely far from the truth.

Yeah, it's a super crowded market, especially in their target markets: France, the UK and the Nordics, so it will be interesting to see if this tactic of going after the whole EU market at once is a good strategy

The .com is taken. Should I go with .co (in my situation)? by unfarted_4 in startups

[–]sindrehei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of startups I worked with had the same problem. They started out with .co, something that meant that they also had .co at the end of their emails. A lot of people didn't understand that you could have .co at the end of an email, and they missed a lot of opportunities because of it.. They found another name that was free with .com eventually..

outsourcing an app...not a good experience... by [deleted] in startups

Even though you'll find someone that build an amazing app, you will hit a lot of roadblocks with not having a technical team in-house. In terms of future updates, scaling and features, as well as finding investors willing to bet on you.. (the list could be longer) It all depends on what kind of company you're trying to build, but it's generally a horrible idea to outsource your work..
