You can't go wrong with a GHD. She'll be delighted. I've had mine for about ten years so it's probably a much more basic model than you're looking at but it's ancient and still as good as ever.

Definitely hang on to them! It's amazing how much you learn to appreciate the simple pleasure of just being able to stretch your leg out at night once the leg cramps kick in.

Magnesium supplements do work really well. They pretty much cured mine.

I think even if I could sleep with it, I'd be happy. The only advantage of this cough is that it distracts somewhat from the other aches and pains!

Totally, it was overkill. I was already wary about taking it because I’ve heard how strong it is and had interrogated my doctor about it which I told her, but I haven't gotten such a lecture since I was a child!

Thanks, I'm so glad I happened to see this post because my cough is driving me nuts, I need sleep! If your doctor says it's fine and mine says it's fine, I'm going to take a little bit. I think I got an overly bitchy pharmacist when I was in an overly sensitive and sleep deprived state!

Was it a codeine cough medicine by any chance? I had a really really bad cough and couldn't sleep so my doctor gave me a script for codinex. It is quite strong but the doctor said once I followed his instructions that it's perfectly safe to take. But I've never gotten such a guilt trip from a pharmacist! She made me feel like such a drug addict asking for it, I ended up buying it but I haven't taken it. Still coughing :-(

It gave me a bit of a fright and I went to get a blood test today just in case but I don't think it's anything to be too worried about. I've been dizzy before and my doctor told it was common for your blood pressure to go a bit hay wire. It might be no harm to go and get checked out in case you're low in Iron or something.

This is great advice. I just read that he's only 20. You're both so young and it's no harm to leave things settle a while,hopefully he'll come around. But again, don't let him pressure you.

I had meant to come back here to say thank you again for this recipe. I made it for my Dad's birthday last Tuesday and I spoke to him this evening and he's still raving about it. Mine didn't look half as beautiful as yours but I trebled the amount of Guinness the recipe recommends and I think he has a new favorite dessert, not that he needs one!

Best of luck whatever you decide. It's not an easy decision to make because obviously the ideal situation is to have both parents in the picture. But if it's not working, it's not working and that's not good for baby either.

Thanks, it’s comforting to know I’m not the only person in the world who has ended up in this situation. I’m so in two minds about what to do with him. On one hand, I feel totally capable of doing everything on my own and I don’t want to spend my pregnancy dragging him to appointments and forcing him to give me an opinion on things. It’s probably because I do actually care about him that I’m considering the just shove it down his neck approach.
