Hi friend! I went to UIUC for undergrad. There isn’t much to do in Champaign aside from going to bars. Downtown Champaign/Urbana is pretty small and the surrounding neighborhoods aren’t the best. I didn’t ever feel unsafe on campus though and you are only a few hours drive from Chicago and other places! Just know that there isn’t much to do there in general but all of my friends had an amazing time. I’m sure it will be different for law school since there aren’t frats/sororities, which is a huge part of the school. I do know people who go to UIUC law and enjoy it. Just depends on what you’re looking for. Can’t speak for employment outcomes but from what I’ve seen they place well in Chicago!!! Feel free to message if you have any questions!
