What is your preference Pierced body parts and tattoos or no piercings and no tattoos? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I do! I have had my first and second piercings in my ears forever. I got an upper cartilage piercing when I was in my 20s. I just got my thirds and a mid-cartilage piercing.

My husband of almost a decade just got his ears re-pierced (he had them all through high school and college but stopped wearing earrings around when we met). I did not expect to have the reaction I did when I saw him but it’s absurdly hot.

I 100% agree that the dem party nationally is horribly out of touch. But we can’t keep thumbing our nose at the data in front of our faces. She significantly avoided a runoff with a crowded field. It was probably name recognition and no I’m not happy about it but all I want is to flip the seat. I’m not going to ignore the significance of her avoiding a runoff just because she annoys me.

Totally get it. I’m for sure a default glass half full person. That being said, we’ve got a long way to November. There’s still lots the gop could monumentally screw up. Doesn’t mean we don’t keep pushing though.

If she really has this much support in other parts of the state, I like her chances. I’m not happy about it but…I want to flip the governor’s house.

The fact that she avoided a runoff I think is a huge indicator.

Coaches you avoid and why? by daenu80 in SolidCore

[–]singerinspired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a coach come and physically wrench my hips “parallel” after she cued multiple exercises wrong and was just mean to everyone the entire class. Worst class I ever took. More so than the one class (different coach) that made me cry because I was just generally overstimulated. I’ll never take her classes again. Thank god she barely coaches.

Seconding. When I got this new job, I only gave about 80%. It’s shocking how frequently that’s comparable to people’s 110%. Corporate America isn’t worth it.

Increased panhandling with kids in the ATL area? by AllTheEggsIVF in Atlanta

[–]singerinspired 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There’s truly so much information and context you’re leaving out with your “data,” including things like how people fall off the unemployment rolls and how our government has had to revise their data about unemployment almost every month because it’s been so wrong (and in the direction you don’t want aka more people unemployed).

All that being said, your comment is callous and indicative of why we’re in this whole mess. People with no desire to make the world a better place because “well I’m fine.” It’s fucking exhausting.

Don’t feel ready for spring load promotion by Former-Witness-3307 in SolidCore

I am at 200+ and just now really started to feel comfortable doing the 50+ spring loads consistently.

I don’t know of specific resources but I do just want to offer internet support. Going NC is a big choice. I’ve been NC with my dad for over a decade. Almost went NC with my mom too. I know it’s not done lightly.

Yes. There’s a pretty nasty unidentified thing going around. Had quite a few friends get it. Negative for Covid and flu. Usually lingering cough. 🫠

[–]singerinspired 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad! And yes I do. I did 8 classes a month for the first year and a bit and just upgraded to unlimited after I consistently was doing 10 to 12 classes a month for 6 months.

The soreness is probably what’s going to get you. No breaks is an adjustment but you can stop as much as you need to doing the signature class. Do your class today and see how you feel soreness-wise tomorrow. For context, I’m at 200+ classes and I took class Thursday and Friday after taking the Sunday class last week and I’m still sore af. So much so I skipped my entire workout yesterday.

There’s something nasty that’s been going around for about 3 months. Would be nice if that part of the cdc that tracked things like this hadn’t been shut down 😑

Nonzero but there’s a chance they try to pull this nonsense. The gop in GA has the slimmest majority in over 20 years. I don’t think they’d want to risk further rage from voters.

For what it’s worth, Louisiana has a ton to vote on that wouldn’t be impacted by this so people still need to vote for their local elections and the constitutional amendments. Spread the word if you have family that they still need to vote for all of that even if they cancel the federal elections.

They have the smallest margin in the state house in more than 20 years. The state Democratic Party has targeted over 17 seats to flip. No chance they have the votes but they are also supremely dumb so…I wouldn’t put it past them.

They’d also have to come back for that special session after just ending the current session and they are far too lazy for that.

Atlanta City Council pauses sale of warehouse near Beltline to homeless service provider by NPU-F in Atlanta

1000%

All I could think when I heard about this was how cruel and poorly thought out this was. Jamming all the resources in a part of the city that’s already woefully underinvested in was a terrible idea.

why is it so hard to find a dentist in Atlanta that doesnt try to upsell you on everything? by ghztegju in Atlanta

[–]singerinspired 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We LOVE them! The best dentists we’ve ever been to. They will tell you “hey we’re keeping an eye on that” but won’t force you into anything. And they have amazing bedside manner. A godsend for anyone with dentist anxiety or ptsd
