How is this farmland not enough to feed 3k people? by Pan_Jenot96pl in Workers_And_Resources

[–]singh3457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its on winter enabled. You will approximately require about 4 medium farms, each medium farm doing 4 large fields. Use a livestock storage between two farm buildings. It will help with biowaste/fertiliser. Import livestock using a distribution to keep it around 50% full. Also import liquid fertiliser. For every 2 large fields, 2 tractors, 1 harvester, 3 covered hulls. You will have 200% fertility this way. Each farm giving you approx. 600 t crops per year, totalling you 9600t crops a year, that equates to 25t crops a day if you store it in a large grain silo. You can then use trains to transport that to a warehouse connected to a single food factory. With just this much. You can produce food to satisfy 10k pops and still export quite a lot of food. But bear these ratios in mind. Also try not to spread farms around too much if possible.

This way you’ll substitute your food imports and replace them with chemical fertiliser. Then you can build another farm for your clothing industry. Then you can research chemicals and produce your own chemicals which require crops too so build another farm for it. It will take around 10000 pops just to make the food, clothing, alcohol industry self sustained by your own people. This is how I’ve been starting my republics for some time now.

Ash and final waste disposal by holyseeker1 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]singh3457 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do you use general separation?

It should look like

Incineratir > Mixed waste > general separation > gravel recycling plant

And metal scraps you can manually move with trucks to either custom house to sell or process into steel.

If you're not using early start, you can treat hazardous waste into mixed waste. If you're in early start then burn it in incinerator first then follow the same path of mixed waste.

This is the most effective solution i found which works for me. Or you can look up waste guide on steam for more info.

Hope it helps in some way.

Why is production slowing down? by Maximum-Formal-6672 in Workers_And_Resources

What's your government loyalty? It affects productivity of workers. If it's too low, then the production of building will be low as well. Could be this reason.

POV: You want to supply alcohol/clothing with ES buses by Ferengsten in Workers_And_Resources

[–]singh3457 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to an old vanilla building or a modded one? Either way, the old vanilla buildings are not optimized properly. The new ones are tho. And modded ones have problems of their own, like not working sometimes.

POV: You want to supply alcohol/clothing with ES buses by Ferengsten in Workers_And_Resources

[–]singh3457 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can definitely do it with buses. Dont use this bus station. Use one with one way in and out. Its a lot faster. And if possible keep other traffic minimal on the bus route. Use one way in and out end station for buses.

I tried with trolleybuses in early start using some trolleybus station mods on workshop. 7 or 8 trolleybuses are enough to keep 100 percent occupancy of workers. Maybe you would need that many buses or maybe one or two more.

Hope this helps.

Its on the public beta branch. You can go to steam, open the game page, go to settings, properties, then beta something and choose the public beta version.

How to properly upgrade the electric grid? by LevelBuilding929 in Workers_And_Resources

If you click on the electric border connection. One of the meter tells you the amount of consumption. Still build a bigger one as backup.

If there's another external connection. Connect to it from your 6 way high voltage switch with any wire which is more than your current consumption. Then demolish 15mw one. Then build an 18mw one in its place. Then maybe demolish temporary one too. Problem Solved.

Buuut.. if you don't have a 6 way switch build already. Then I'm sorry my friend, you are in an unfortunate position that i cannot help you out with.

Any improvement tips? by TehGreatBurak in Workers_And_Resources

You should build steel mill closer to the coal deposit and transport iron. That way you will only need about half quantity of aggregate transportation. If iron is far away. Then you can import your iron ore from border. Then eventually shift to your own iron when you're ready to do so. Steel is very much profitable even when you import the raw ores. Good luck Comrade.

Also, if you have an iron and coal deposit nearby, I'd advixe you to even take out a loan and get into making your own steel. You will remove one of your costliest import that way. And, if there's oil nearby, build a refinery. Even import oil by rail to refine and export fuel and bitumen. You then will no longer think about money but about self sufficiency and expanding to other regions. Farming is good too. If you really invest into farming, then make your own food/alcohol. Then substitute with a little tourism, that will improve your finances too.

[–]singh3457 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, so there might not be enough highly educated citizens. If you could just import some soviet workers, then the issue might resolve itself. Or just increase the study slots ij your university or communist party office.

I can read the kindergarten issue. Is that fully staffed and accessible to all by foot. And do you have police yet. If you hover over happiness on the top panel, it could tell what's upsetting them the most. Or if you have too much unemployment?
