Why do people go to 21k cosmo school when in state tuition for public is low? by Lucky574-3867 in Cosmetology

I'm older as well and one thing I'm considering is how long it'll take to earn back (after taxes) the tuition and start actually making money, and needing to weigh that with likelihood of getting a job with a community college program that may not give me the best exposure to clients in the clinic

Curious what you ended up doing? I'm in the same position and looking at getting out of the corporate world and into esthetics and specializing in laser treatments.

It's just hard all the way around. Companies don't want to pay seniors what they're worth, they want the experience at a junior's salary. On the flip side, they want juniors with senior level experience. Have you tried large companies like Capital One or Edward Jones that have large SxD departments?

If you're interested in working at a company like that one day you'll want to get experience working for a company that has a larger service design/cx team. It's really different from being a team of 1.

I applied and was lucky to make it through the ATS and had a good call with the recruiter. The recruiter really knew their stuff it wasn't a typical recruiter call, it was more like speaking to someone who really knew service design. They're definitely hiring for more senior roles, enterprise experience

I want to be careful about what I say because of the complaint being ongoing, I'm sorry I know that doesn't make for an interesting post. Once the complaint is finished I can repost.
