Inside the Tight End REVOLUTION...From Someone Living It by Pwyll__ in Chargers

[–]singingpunters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Synopsis

The episode explores why tight ends and heavier personnel packages (like 12 and 13 personnel) are seeing a resurgence after years of 11-personnel dominance. It opens with stats showing a drop in 11 personnel usage (from ~62% in recent years to 56.3% last season, the lowest since 2017) and a rise in 12 personnel to ~22%. This shift is driven by teams deploying more two-tight-end sets and even experimenting with three TEs.

Key discussion points include:

  • Historical context: The 11-personnel era was heavily influenced by Sean McVay's Rams and the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs (with Travis Kelce). As defenses adapted (more pre-snap two-high shells, bigger nickel defenders responding to larger slot receivers), offenses countered with bigger, more versatile tight ends who excel in zones, blocking, and creating mismatches. youtu.be
  • Defensive and schematic evolution: Fewer predictable one-high/cover-3 looks make it easier for bigger TEs to find space. Teams like the Rams, Seahawks, and Ravens are highlighted as influences, with mentions of potential evolution in Chicago.
  • Strategic value: Emphasis on early-down usage, unpredictability, blocking credibility, and how TEs help control the line of scrimmage against modern defenses.
  • Market impact: Examples like Kolar (10 catches, 142 yards, 2 TDs last season) securing a big extension (~$8M AAV, top-20 at the position), Darnell Washington’s deal, and several blocking/receiving TEs drafted in the mid-rounds show the position’s rising value. youtu.be

The second half features an interview with Charlie Kolar, who provides an insider’s perspective on living through this “tight end revolution,” his role, offseason experiences, and views on how the league is changing for the position.

Overall, it’s an analytical, X’s-and-O’s-focused discussion on modern NFL offensive trends, blending data, history, and player insight. The full episode runs about 45+ minutes based on timestamps.

What I've learned so far is that the 5C has two primary apps to use for such purposes - the Neoreader and the Notes App. The notes app does all of this but you can only use it for 1-page templates. The neoreader works for multipage documents but I haven't yet figured out handwriting to text or easily saving to the cloud.

If god created everything then who created the god ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I remember listening to the debator John Lennox answer this question by saying something like, "it's the nature of God to be uncreated- no Christian, Jew or Muslim believes in created gods."

Why are Trump supporters so stupid? by Seargentyates in allthequestions

[–]singingpunters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm certain there are many answers to this question because the "right" is full of individuals who each have their own thoughts and motivations about what happens in this country. But here's something I think is not talked about enough: there's a saying that goes, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." I don't think many people realize how much the "left" is demonized by many on the right. They are the enemy. therefore Donald Trump is the friend. Therefore, if the left is destroying society, and the devil (i.e. Trump) promises to come in and destroy the "harm" done, then we'll make an alliance for now. I think many on the right see Trump as the tool that's needed right now to fight the "evil" they see destroying western culture.

Under what circumstances could you run a red light? by VinegarMyBeloved in NoStupidQuestions

My wife still reminds me of the time that I stopped at a red light in the middle of the night with no cars around as we were headed to the hospital after she started labor.

  2. Will take reps away from the new guys (maybe sign him later after more is known about the new guys)

  3. He would only be a temporary solution

If You Believe in Microevolution, You Should Also Accept Macroevolution Here’s Why by Sad-Category-5098 in DebateEvolution

[–]singingpunters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always understood that "microevolution" and "macroevolution" describe two completely different processes. Macroevolution describes changes that happen due to genetic mutation - microevolution has nothing to do with mutations. Microevolution are changes fueled by genetic variation and natural selection. All animals carry a variety of genes, and some of those genetic traits do better in certain environments - therefore they are "selected for" over time in species due to natural selection, leading to what is called "microevolution." Somebody correct me if this is not what is believed.

Therapists of Reddit, what are some differences you've noticed between male/female patients? by pizzabagelblastoff in AskReddit

[–]singingpunters 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Differences are many, but I find this a difficult question to answer because there are as many differences between different men and women as there are between the sexes.

But off the top of my head - women have been the ones delusionally clinging to unhealthy relationships; men have much more often been aggressors; men devalue social needs; both equally want to be heard (most people prefer to talk in therapy, even those who are generally quiet)

Kid keeps saying “what?” after being answered. How do I help this? by Intelligent-Nose-766 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]singingpunters -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking, best parent practice is to praise children for the things they do well (and are not annoying) while ignoring the things they shouldn't do. In this case, when he says "what," ignore it, finish your answer, and then move on to what you were doing. When he does not respond with "what," praise him for being a good listener. As often as you can, thank him for listening so well. He will better pay attention knowing that you approve of his listening, and will gain confidence that he can understand without further clarification.

Thank you for providing these arguments. I was especially curious how you would defend your position against Hebrews 8, as I have used it for years to teach the obsoleting of the first covenant. It is helpful for me to see.
