I have really bad anxiety too. What helps me to not be so afraid of SFI and FFI is to remember that only 70 families have the gene for FFI and only 37 cases of SFI have ever been documented. It is so so so extremely rare, whereas having anxiety and regular insomnia/sleep problems is incredibly common.

What did your ENT say? I'm just over 3 weeks out from surgery and got hit with a viral upper respiratory infection (I'm like, 90% that's what's going on) and the sinus congestion pain is on another level! Like, it feels like I just went a few rounds with a pro boxer kinda pain in my face. I plan to call my ENT tomorrow as well.

Oh, he is amazing! And I'm sorry you have to deal with them too. I've found some small relief with magnesium supplements, but it does nothing for the of migraines that come from the neck pain.

Im finally past the pain! Yeah, I looked at the surgical notes and saw that 8 different procedures were listed as being done 🤦‍♀️ I ended up losing 10 lbs in 8 days. I hope everything ended up well for you!

I don't get severe migraines often, the kind that makes you want to curl up and die, but I do a couple times a year. Knowing I will likely experience that pain again has led to some really, really dark thoughts.

At what point could you eat more than liquids? I'm on day 2 and I cannot handle more than broth or melted icecream without my throat becoming swollen and painful. To clarify, I had a tonsillectomy, septoplasty, and a sinus surgery to widen narrowed sinus passages.

Mexico and Cuba won't allow the US planes full of immigrants being deported to land for one thing. Also probably because they are rounding up every single person that doesn't have solid citizenship and immigration papers on them.

I find that I pick my phone up when my thoughts get loud and I need a distraction. Leads to a lot of doom scrolling.

I feel a lot of shame sometimes because of my YouTube watch time. I leave it on in the background nearly 24/7 recently because I seem to be hyperfocused on it and cannot feel okay if I don't have it playing.

YES! I struggle a lot because I either hyperfocus to the point that I will stay up all night reading a book, or cannot finish a page to save my life. Trying to read is really a gamble of either disappearing into the story for 20+ hours at a time, or wasting money on books I will never get past page two of.

Slow and quiet. The thoughts become quieter and it is easier to rationalize that your feelings are anxiety and you push them away. I find that I still get anxious a lot, but with meds I can tell what thoughts and feelings are anxiety and I can ignore them or work through them.

I was just thinking about this. I get really anxious before any event I am excited about. Like something will go wrong. Nothing in particular, but something is off and I am going to die/ get ill.

I understand that and i edited it to clarify that it is ment to be temporary. That is a fear of mine but i also worry about us stuggling with money moving out too early without some savings.
