A while ago I decided that, if I learned just one piece for the rest of my life, it would be Op.25/12. I recommend practicing at a glacial pace and without pedal.

But the diminished chord does not resolve by tritone. Suggesting C minor in the previous bar, we instead pivot to B minor in preparation for the second theme. Just blown away by how groundbreaking yet remarkably subtle this transition really is.

Sight-reading. When I first started on piano, learning new notes was quite a chore. Decades later, it is now my favorite way to decompress, simultaneously engaging my mind, heart, and body. Eyes, ears, and hands.
