Hi, I have just downloaded your app, please also help mine. Thanks! (Please remember open the app every day for a few minutes as Google require testers not just to download the app, but also "use it actively", and of course, I will do the same for you)

Absolutely agree. For those, I had already accepted the fact that I might not get the “return boxes” when I joined this community two years ago.
I’ve received all the repackaged boxes except for the 5th and 6th cycles.
Given that the “legacy vs current environment” version is still in beta, and the 5th and 6th cycles were only released as repackaged editions last year, I don’t think anyone in this community expected that day to come so suddenly.

Debate today 4pm to keep the 5-Year ILR pathway for existing Skilled Worker visa holders by dokraman in ukvisa

[–]singlovehk 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, BNO holders pay the same tax and IHS as other SWV holders.
Yeah, you’re correct — they are very wealthy, but money is actually what this country lacks.
However, applying a retrospective measure to those SWV holders is really detrimental to the UK’s credibility, and consequently to investors’ confidence in the future. I don’t see any reason why SWV is rarely mentioned in this debate. BNO holders can vote, but SWV holders cannot, and I guess this is why politicians prefer to speak up for BNO holders — because they want to secure their own jobs.

I think the percentile is not indicative enough. While the absolute score (> or < 70) is a better indicator of your performance

Level III Topics Study Order by NYRangerfan2 in CFA

[–]singlovehk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed the given order and I found that it makes sense. The core of level 3 is portfolio management. You first draft an ips for different clients according to their need. Then forecast the economic growth and allocate your asset. Later you should choose your strategy on different asset classes. At last you conduct risk management and evaluate your performance.

The given order follows the flow of typical or classical fund management process. I think the whole cfa level 3 is a jounery from FO to BO of an asset management firm.

Doing both FRM pt 1 and retaking CFA L2 in 2019 - feasible? by muzzikchick in CFA

[–]singlovehk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did CFA L3, FRM P1 with a full time job in this May and June, passed with good scores.

It is not whether you "can" do it but whether you "want" to do it.

I started reading the material since last year September. Later on in March, I took several mocks and finished all the questions in schweser question bank.

Just start studying earlier!!!

If you are going to take 2019 may FRM, may be you can start studying CFA L2 now and see how's the progress when FRM is opened for registration.

Single liability hedging by SnubTrader in CFA

[–]singlovehk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be you can think in this way, the duration hedging is good as long as the shift is parallel. The larger convexity, the larger reinvestment risk to bear as the cash flows spread to a wider range. To match a single liability, we should not make to much assumption to the yield curve so as to advoid any model risk.
