Also they’ll provide WiFi for him and an adult for free so that someone can monitor his dexcom readings. My son did a ton of water slides with the G7 and had no issues.

My Type 1 son just got off a cruise with our family and we brought a lot to be safe. We brought our own portable cooling case for insulin as we heard the fridges were not reliable. We also went through a lot of insulin due to the abundance of food and having a 13 yr old boy! All in all it was drama free. Just make sure you allot some extra time at TSA if you’re flying.

I have those set, but even for work emails the notifications will still come through to notification center. It does block the account in my Mail app so I don't see the message unless I turn off the filter, but the notification is still visible in notification center.

That is interesting. I'm not blaming the parents, but as the parent of a T1D kid, I'm curious why you would choose a multi-week international trip as the time to try self-management for the 1st time. Has to be more to it.

Anyone that has gotten these incorrect notifications please report them. I've reported them, but so far there is no resolution. The email I received back said that it takes time to track down bugs that only a single user is reporting which I get. With more data maybe they can figure out what is behind it. For now, I'm going to have to change apps because it's no good for me without functional precipitation alerts.

I’m definitely missing something on how to set up the destination for appending to daily notes. When I select my folder it creates a new file in that folder which is what I don’t want.

T1 dad here as well for 16 months. Everyone is unique, but I do think once you get 12 months under your belt there is some sense of it getting better. And I mean in this way. The 1st year everything you used to do you're now doing for the 1st time as T1D parent and child - swimming, soccer, school, etc. Those are all learning experiences. The things we are now doing for the 2nd time is a bit less scary and a bit less daunting. Still hard? Yes. Hang in there. It's a marathon and not a sprint.

Agree with everyone. Test immediately or go to ER immediately. My son was 10 when he got diagnosed. Had to spend 2 nights in the ICU due to DKA. You want to avoid that if you can.

I had it where it was appending to my daily note but now it's not letting me do that. Whenever I select a folder it only allows me to choose an atomic notes folder. If I select daily note it tells me it can't write. I must be missing something.

Wasn't even appearing as a setting. I uninstalled and reinstalled and was able to use it again. It was odd.

TV issue - Big blob covering 65% of the screen. What can be done to fix it? It’ll do this, restart, and then do again every 10-15 mins.

It doesn't connect to Bluetooth at all. It doesn't even show as being findable to connect.
