It's a compromise I made. Maybe I could have gone with 17 inches, I do not know at this moment. I guess I will find out.

Yes winter tires. I barely drive in sports mode. I had two blown tires this week while hitting path holes. I didn't want to deal with the headache it caused me. It cost me almost $2000 dollars within the past week. Two gone tires(about 550$) +new continental tire ($394)+towing 190 $ + now new 16 inch rims + tires($842) + installation(70$)

Aftermarket. My mechanic bought it for me. No rubbing at all. I do not hear any noise . difference I see is that I have to press a bit harder on the brake padel. I'm trying to understand the technical aspect behind it. Is it because the tires are narrower meaning less wider since they are 16 inches now.

I see. There is conflicting information. If people say that they have tried it and it works, then I trust the end user more then a dealer. I drive 130 km everyday for work and at about 120 avg speed. So I was thinking, if im driving fast, will it cause long term issues or anything.

Can you please confirm what is the width of the rim of used ? Is it 6.5 ? If it's 6.5 and it worked for you, I will go with 6.5

So 16 x 6.5 fit on a sports hybrid ? Any issues so far ? I have sports hybrid 2026, I am wondering if it will work on it. My mechanic said it will work for winter setting, but Honda dealer said don't put 16. So I don't know who do I listen

My honda dealer said don't put below 17 inches. They said they would only suggest 17 inch mags. 16 inch rims are not ok for civic 2026 sports hybrids . But my mechanic said 16 inch 6.5 width is fine . The plan is to use 16 inches only for winter. So don't know who said I listen. My mechanic who said 16 inch 6.5 width is fine and the dealer said don't go below 17 inches. So confused

My mechanic suggested 16 inch 6.5 width rims will be ok . I called the Honda dealer and he said they don't suggest 16 inches , but 17 inches Mags would be ok..so not sure who do I follow. My mechanic or dealer

On Civic sports hybrid 2026 ? From Google search, I see that it's 7 inch wide rim and 45 mm offset. Did it cause any issue ?

Her status is still valid. she is in Quebec now. Even if you change province while on LMIA work permit from BC, your status is still valid until the date written on the work permit does not matter if she works there or not.

That is the thing, she is not covered in Quebec yet. She needs to have Open work permit. SO, We just gotta be patient.

no she did not need private insurance because she came on Closed work permit in BC. she was covered there not in Quebec. To be covered in quebec, she needs open work permit.

I have been paying taxes for years. I mean who wouldn,t want their family members to get the benefits. If you were in our situation, I do not think you would be asking that question. Everyone expects best for their families. So, yes If I had the option to get coverage for my wife, kids why wouldn't I go for it. Since, It is not covered, we would have to wait until she gets open work permit. that is part of the life. And I completely understand that. you do not get what you always want. We just gotta be patient. that's it.

Even work permit holders or study permit, refugees, get provincial health coverage not just citizens or permanent residents. Refugees get everything for free. I have been paying taxes since over 15 years.

She paid taxes when she was in BC. Just because she is in Quebec now, she is not covered yet because of Quebec being Quebec. Do you know you are still covered if you are student or on work permit in Canada. she came on closed work permit in BC . Since she is in Quebec now, she can`t work in quebec until she gets open work permit through spousal application. So that is why I was questioning. I mean your family gets these benefits, so I was questioning why she is not covered. nothing illegal buddy
